That Pistons game is the must-win game to end all must-win games on Wednesday night.

Why? Would be a great win, but why is it must-win? The Cavs have a game left at Detroit as well.

I think he's saying that if we can beat Detroit, that would give us a huge lep up on Cleveland for that #2 seed; hence the must-win situation.

I don't think it's a must-win either, but if we do win it, it could be a huge confidence booster for the team.

If we want any hope of that 1 seed, it's a must-win. Sorry for leaving that out.

With the Sheed miracle as well as their 4th quarter rallies against the Nets and the Heat today, I think that's all but out of the possibility.

Probably. Right now we'd play Washington, correct? Butler just went out with a broken hand. That's a 40mpg, 19ppg starter. That's got to hurt, no matter what.

Well, if Washington falls behind Miami, and Toronto can keep the 3 seed, the 5 seed would open up against the Heat.

I'd much prefer NJ or Orlando in the first round.

Some don't want to see Orlando. I'd rather face them than the Heat.

We match up horrible with Orlando.

If it's between them & the Heat, I'd still take the latter. Orlando has little experience in the playoffs, which I feel really counts in the NBA.

Taking the "latter" means you'd rather face the Heat. I think you meant you would rather take the "former".

You're right, my bad. I'd still rather face Orlando than the Heat.

Caron Butler is likely done for the season, Washington would be a great matchup for us. If we can't beat the Wizards minus Butler, then we didn't deserve to be there in the first place.

Except, without Butler, Washington isn't likely to get the 4 seed anyway.

BIG GAME TONIGHT

After a fantastic game against the Cavs (and a slight collapse at the end), we really NEED to take this one down.

Go Bulls!

It really would be huge to be able to make a road statement against the Pistons.

They basically did last time out, just didn't win.

Despite Cleveland and Detroit winning, there is some good news today:

Trib[/url]"]"I'm going to play Friday," Nocioni declared Tuesday.

Team physicians, um, might have a say in whether the ever upbeat and hyper forward suits up for the home game against the Nets.

But the point is, after experiencing no pain following his first day of running and receiving clearance to participate in Wednesday's shootaround in Auburn Hills, Mich., his return is near.

"I probably could play [Wednesday against the Pistons], but we want to wait a little more and work with the team a little more," Nocioni said. "I think I can play some minutes Friday. Not too many, but some."

........

"Right now it's zero pain, so the difference is huge," he said. "When I played in Cleveland, I had a lot of pain. I couldn't do anything. I'm working really hard to try to get in shape because I think I can help my team in the playoffs."

Coach Scott Skiles admitted there almost certainly would be a minutes limit placed on Nocioni whenever he and his 14.8-points-per-game average returns. But he confirmed Nocioni is close and actually thinks his maniacal style could be a benefit.

He'll take part in the shoot-around tomorrow.

YES!

PS: Skiles, if you take minutes away from Tyrus rather than the PJ/Malik/Griffin segment of the team, I will hunt you down and smack you hard across the face.

Skiles:

"They would be a good combination playing together," he said. "I don't think it's going to affect Tyrus' minutes. Ultimately, maybe we'll think this was a blessing. Maybe 'Chapu' will be fresh and give us punch off the bench and make our second unit get better with Tyrus."
