Alfonso Soriano at the Bulls game.

So was Ernie Banks

And Devin Hester, also alot of hot chicks. At one point I thought it was the Cubs cameraman, because he was showing all the hotties.

On a scale of 1-10, here is how I would rate the reaction of the fans:

10 out of 10 - Cheering for the Bulls to hit 100 for the Big Macs

9 out of 10 - Hester on the Jumbotron (this was extended for about 30-40 seconds too, a lot of people stood up and clapped)

7 out of 10 - Banks

6 out of 10 - Soriano (a noticible contingent of boos from White Sox fans, who didn't boo Banks)

3 out of 10 - The rest of the game action. Bulls fans are lifeless unless they are begged to cheer, and most of the time its not during game action.

Don't forget

11 out of 10 - Booing the Bulls' failure to get to 100

That was freaking embarrassing at the end of the game tonight. I hate our fans sometimes. They don't deserve all the compliments BG gives them.

I was there. Know what you're talking about before you lash out. The booing was directed at Seatle, who got the ball with 26 or so seconds and then ran clock.

No way. I heard boos when we missed a shot with 99 points and Seattle got the ball. The fans were booing the missed shot before the Sonics began running out the clock as I recall.

To each his own, think as you like. Either way there was NO ill will towards the players after the final buzzer. It was actually a bit comical in the stands. From the 6 or so total attempts at 100, to the final 30 seconds. The fans had a good time with it.

Tyrus Thomas only played the final 1:30. Why exactly did we draft this guy again? For him to learn how to sit on the bench?

All he can do is jump

And the blurb from the ESPN.com article about the game:

Alfonso Soriano, who agreed to a $136 million, eight-year contract with the Chicago Cubs, attended the game and got a loud ovation from the fans when he was shown on the video board as did Cubs Hall of Famer Ernie Banks. But the biggest ovation of the night went to Devin Hester, the star returner for the Chicago Bears.

Oh, I noticed there was no ill will after the buzzer. I was sarcastically happy about that because of the events of the previous couple minutes.

Either way, the whole 'getting psyched for 100' thing annoys me severely. I've never seen the UC get excited during a regular season game unless it's one of those ridiculous Ben Gordon fourth quarters or a huge comeback, but when 100 time comes everyone goes nuts. It's a joke really.

You should attend more Bulls games.

Fixed. :(

But I have tickets to go to the 12/23 game against Charlotte - finally my first game. (Should've gone to Game 6 last year but the NBA decided to not have the first round take 3 weeks like usual, so I wasn't done with school in time to get up there.)

Season ticket holder here, whenever you're in town, let me know.

Don't get down on Bulls fans. The attitudes you are describing are the same in every NBA venue.

Which is generally why I prefer college basketball. Don't get me wrong. I love my Bulls and seeing former players from your college in the NBA (Wade) is awesome, but college hoops in March is just about as good as sports can get.

College hoops in March on TV is awesome, but as far as atmosphere in the stadium, the NBA playoffs are better than college regular season, NBA regular season, or college playoffs (this is from somebody who has been to all 3 all the way up to Final Four games). I'm not saying it's not fun to go to the tournament-it is. It's been my experience that it's a great deal more fun to go to NBA playoff games though, especially Knicks games :D .

They are playing terrible. And with Milwaukee hitting around 70% of their threes, its a recipe for disaster. And Steve Blake needs to start playing like the old, crappy player that he is.

wouldn't he at most only be a year or two older than kirk?

Yeah, I meant he should be playing like he usually does- crappy.
