Yeesh, Phoenix beat the Nets 161-157 (in double OT).

I saw the highlights on ESPN just a few minutes ago. WOW, that would've been an amazing game to see in person.

combined 27-52 for three... that's pretty sick

Any mention of AI makes me remember this video clip:

One of the comments in there is so stupid, yet it's the way a lot of people feel:

what a moron. this is why he'll never win a title. iverson is garbage

no, the team that he's always been surrounded by is garbage. Name one really good complementary player that he's had with him? Glenn Robinson, Dikembe Mutombo, Chris Webber - a bunch of past-their-prime ex-stars. People rip on him for not working out more, but he knows that his quickness is what keeps him in the league.... otherwise, he's just a sub-six foot guard with a decent outside shot. He busts his ass during games, both at the offensive and defensive end, and he's had to carry that team since he came into the league. He deserves better.

Iverson can't shoot.

wrong again

career 42% shooter (and barely 31% from three). Makes up for it at the free throw line. But TT is right, he's your typical 13 for 30 shooter while 9 for 10 at the line. He throws up a million shots which keeps his scoring average up

Well, Hinrich showed how not to wait for the last shot to close the half (as in driving with 5 seconds left, having the ball stripped, and giving up the lead on a fast break).

Gordon extends the lead to 3 and then makes a stupid decision to give the Raptors the ball back with 25 seconds left.

If Luol Deng isn't an All-Star this season something is wrong. He's just been great game in and game out.

I don't think there's one person in the Bulls' current rotation that I'd trade straight-up for Iverson save Sweetney.

Seriously.

P.J. Brown?

I'm glad that Iverson is doing this. Since he wants to be moved, Philadelphia is going to have no choice to trade him. Therefore, I really believe we can get him for cheap. Remember when VC wanted out of Toronto? Expiring contracts got that deal done. Either way, this should be interesting to see how it will play out. I would see if a Brown, Sweetney, Duhon deal would work. Who knows? Billy King may be dumb enough to bite.

If you can't make a case for a PJ Brown or a Chris Duhon, how can you make a case for Sweetney, our only low post threat

Good point, I forgot PJ.

Aside from the obvious (Duhon, Sweets, PJ, and all the other "mehs"), I'd trade Gordon for him.

Apparently, Iverson said that the Bulls and Celtics were his top choices for a trade.

Very interesting...

I don't think there's any way Paxson would take a guy like Iverson on this team. He's so far away from what the Bulls are about. Square peg in a round hole. Wouldn't work.

Plus he wouldn't help our inside scoring game or lack of team height, which are the deficiencies we are dealing with. It's probably the worst fit imaginable.
