FWIW, Mizzou-Texas Tech will be on TBS. I'm real excited for it, I think our defense matches up better with a really heavy passing team like Tech than a run heavy attack. I'm looking forward to a shootout, hopefully it's Daniel throwing all the TD passes.

I don't see our offense having too many problems with the TT defense, but I'm interested in seeing how our defense will do. We looked subpar last week, and DB Domonique Johnson is out for the year with a torn ACL. It should be a battle.

Mizzou is up to #23 in the AP and #25 in the Coaches Poll.

the oregon/cal game is the best of the weekend. Bring on the gameday crew! If Oregon goes to Cal and wins they should be in the top 5

Oregon deserves to move up at least 6 spots for beating a team ranked at least 5 spots behind them? No way.

LSU/Florida. It doesn't get better than SEC football.

No way. Oregon, while not officially, is already a one-loss team in my book.

If anyone deserves a bump up with a win this week it is LSU. They will have beat the #5 team, and their loss was barley losing to #2.

After seeing last night's game, if we can iron out our TO problem, I'd say we're just as good as anyone in the Big XII north. I feel confident we'll beat Mizzou again. I don't think that D can stop Cornish. But I may have just caught Mizzou on a sub-par day defensively. I'll check 'em out this weekend, get a better look hopefully.

We'll see how my newfound confidence looks after what should be a tough game against T A&M.

Is the game in College Station? You probably won't get many answers on Mizzou's run D by watching Saturday's game. Pat Forde said it best, "Leach is well on his way to a seventh winning season in seven tries by throwing first, last and always." Mizzou's matchup with aTm would probably prove more insightful.

It'll be interesting to see how Mangino coaches against a Mizzou team with a quarterback that can throw the ball. I was at the game last year, and Smith had open receivers quite often that he just overthrew, underthrew, and just didnt see. I feel quite confident that at home Mizzou beats Kansas.

the aTm game is in Lawrence, so we won't have our road woes to contend with.

Our D, while young, is shaping up. As soon as our secondary gets healthy, we'll be in better shape.

Da Bears--You're right. The X-Factor is Daniel. I'll be interested to see how he looks if a D can pressure him.

First, I agree that LSU/Florida is the best game this week although Cal/Oregon could be the most entertaining game of the week. Sayy what you want about Oregon having/not having a loss and Cal getting blown out by Tennessee but Cal has dropped 40+ on four straight opponents and Oregon has put up 30+ in all four games this year. You want a tough defensive game, watch LSU/Florida. You want an offensive shootout, watch Oregon/Cal.

Second, I wouldn't bump LSU up at all if they beat Florida other than the spot they would move up with Florida dropping assuming nobody else ahead of them loses of course. If Oregon goes to Berkeley and beats Cal, they should move up a couple spots. I think Georgia will lose to Tennessee which would drop them. Either LSU or Florida is going to lose and Oregon would jump in front of them. If LSU beat Florida, I would put Oregon above LSU. They wouldn't be top 5 though. But I think this will be a moot point as I see Cal taking to Oregon.

I haven't checked, but I think that the PSU vs. Minnesota game is now officially back on for this Saturday (since the Twins won the division instead of the wildcard).

I may not be so quick to call the Arkansas-Auburn game a "mismatch"....not after the way Auburn looked against South Carolina.

If Oregon wins and LSU wins, I'd still have LSU ahead. LSU would have one loss to Auburn and Oregon would have one loss to Oklahoma.

I think Oregon will go to Berkeley and beat Cal by 10+.

Then kill UCLA by 30 in Eugene.

Do any of those teams have to play anyone good other than USC. I am not impressed at all by Cal after being destroyed by a team from a real conference.

They DESERVED one loss to OU, but Oregon is undefeated.

Vance knows that, he (and many others) are just operating under the assumption that Oregon has a loss.

Since the polls are all based on opinions, I'm operating on the opinion that Oregon has one loss and therfore will rank other one loss teams ahead of them, in my opinion.
