Poor Ozzie is quoted that people were hoping the White Sox wouldn't make the playoffs. I admit I was hoping they would lose because I'm tired of hearing Ozzie as much as I'm tired of hearing Dusty. I guess winning a World Championship makes you a genius and gives you the right to comment on any subject (see Mike Ditka). It will be interesting to see how the White Sox do next year when they go back to "Ozzieball". It looks like it could be a very interesting and busy offseason on both sides of town. They had better hope Buerhle regains his form, Thome stays healthy, and Dye doesn't regress to his career averages. Of course, they will have Pierre to save the franchise.

Can't say that I was happy the Sox didn't make it.

Rooting against another Chicago team to fail, well thats a south side thing.

I remember though back when the season started Sox's fans seemed

more concerned about the Cubs struggles than their own team's season.

I stopped rooting against the Sox one game in late August when I saw them down in the bottom of the 9th with an out and was glad at their impending defeat. Turns out if you actually have an offense no game is over. Dye hit a 2 or 3 run homer for the win.

Hell yeah I'll admit it. I'M GLAD THE TRAILOR TRASH DIDN'T MAKE THE PLAYOFFS. I took so much crap from sox fans after they bragged constantly when they won the series. The sox fans that I know have the least class of any other group I know. Ozzie in a loud-mouth punk and they got extremely lucky in 2005.

The fact that they were eliminated makes a pretty terrible baseball season seem just a little better to me.

Not being from Chicago (so I have no game) I have never gotten into the White Sox rivalry with the Cubs. However, Guillen has irritated be since his arrival and they were on the "teams to root against" list, although not as hi as the Yankees or Cardinals.

its more the fans than the team. for some reason the sox fans seem to pay more attention to what the cubs are doing than their own team.

The White Sox - Astros series of last year was an abomination to me. However I have been rooting for the Astro's the last couple of days.

Guillen and his band of thugs have made lots of enemies. they have a disappointing season next year and people will see that Ozzie as the sham that he is.

I never got into the Sox-hating thing. I have friends from the south and north side and everybody in the group pulls for all the Chicago teams, but of course I prefer the Cubs.

I try not too get into this stuff too much, but I have to say, I'm thrilled that they didn't make it to the playoffs. I work with a bunch of loudmouth Sox fans who never hesitated to shove the Cubs failures in my face while gushing over the Sox. They are as quiet as church mice now.

It's fantastic

I haven't always been this way. I said for a long time that the CITY deserved a world series championship. That was true but based on how sox fans reacted I can say with certainty, THEY didn't deserve it.

Last year I enjoyed watching the sox in the post season. They were fun to watch.

Then the Frank Thomas stuff happened.

Then Ozzie did his thing. . . over and over and over.

So, basically, I've been hating the White Sox all season --- not because I dislike the team, but because Ozzie and Kenny are a couple of asses.
