With the ND game looking like it's about in the bag, I'm heading to Schuemann Stadium to see my Cardinals take on NIU.

Go Ball State!

They don't throw the ball at all and still manage to get Sutton only 5 carries.

This team is so bad right now.

here's a question - how can a team have two guys with the same number? The reason I ask is that Chris Bell (who has played in this game) is #19, and the guy who laid that big hit on the kickoff was also #19, a guy named Kubic.

I think it's because there are so many people on college teams, and such a little amount of eligible numbers for their position that they have to have the same number. Mizzou has three #20s on their roster.

Haha, Canyon Pizza... that's where everybody goes on the way home after getting hammered at the bars. Every weekend there's at least a 5 minute line for pizza, and not a single person sober in that line.

I think the one positive to come out of this game is that even though the NU defense was on pace to give up 700 yards early, they probably will only give up around 500.

Pretty sad that the Comcast defensive play of the game in the ND-Purdue game is a series of clips of ND knocking down Painter after he's thrown the ball. When two teams are as woeful on defense as ND and Purdue, just cancel the "defensive play of the game" bit.

Mizzou wins 28-13. Defense looked VERY unimpressive at times today. Gave up a lot of yards. Offense looked good for the most part, except for two INTs and a weird possession in the 3rd quarter that consisted of a double pass, a knee on 3rd down, and a fake FG on 4th. Nice way to open up conference play and Mizzou advances to 5-0 for the first time since either 81 or 79. Gotta at least split the next two games @ Texas Tech and @ Texas A&M.

Yeah, I was curious whay the Mizzou people thought. I watched the first half, and I was totally unimpressed by the MU defense. I understand there were some controversial calls in the 2nd half that screwed CU, too? Still, a win's a win. The A&M game could be good.

Only 40 minutes till Neb tries to avenge the pasting KU gave them last year.

I have to say, I don't like our chances at all.

The officials really needed all that time to review that one...

At least I can laugh about the celebration penalty being tacked on.

I don't know what controversial calls they could be talking about, except for the one play where CU picked off Daniel and he was ruled out of bounds, but Hawkins challenged and it was upheld. If anything, Mizzou had a beef with the strange posession Cubbies75 mentioned, where Daniel's facemask was grabbed as he threw with no call, and then not calling the offsides on 3rd down.

Speaking of Hawkins, he wins the dunce award for the day for repeatedly going away from the run when that's how they were gaining yards, that challenge, and going for it 3 different times on fourth down. Mizzou's defense wasn't all that great in the first half, but they kept CU out of the end zone and were much better in the second half(I consider the 70 yard pass play on the first play of the half to still be the first half). Colorado still hasn't scored more than 13 points in a game all year.

Well I just watched A&M vs Tech. Have to say, I was rather unimpressed by both teams, especially their defenses. That said, the Tech WR corps is very solid, and that 275 pound RB for A&M is just a monster. Both games will be tough for Mizzou, especially on the road, but both are very winnable.

i was in cincy today and watched the first 1/2 of the PSU game. Man did they look bad. Glad to see they woke up a bit in the 3rd quarter, but man, i like Morelli less and less every game. Tony Hunt is all this team's got right now
