I wouldn't worry about it, Chris Simms was pretty much going to play his way out of the NFL even if he had a spleen.

Likely. Maybe the Bucs can see what Major Applewhite is up to these days

Great name, marginal QB skills.

All-time leader in passing yardage and touchdowns at UT... maybe not a guy who was bound to be an NFL QB, but he was effective as a college quarterback except against Oklahoma.

Fixed.

Posted it in the Bears' forum, but it can go here too:

Alexander broke his foot for Seattle and is out indefinitely. The Madden Jinx is at it again.

I'm really rooting hard for the Saints. Give a big emotional lift to that city any way possible.

I think just having the Saints back in the Superdome means enough as it is. Obviously a win would be nice for the city (although not for my picks) but I don't think it's necessary.

The way the Saints are manhandling the Falcons is shocking.

If this result pans out, the Saints will be in first place in the NFC South. Crazy.

It won't last...but since my brother and nephew are Saints fans, I'm happy that they will enjoy this for awhile.

I'm rooting for them to do well. I'm a big Brees fan...being from Purdue and all.

Mike Vick is a terrible QB, there, I said it. Far and away most overrated player in the NFL.

Totally agree, and have thought so for quite some time. I love when the Bears play the Falcons. That was my favorite game last season.

That game was hilarious to watch. Vick was getting crushed, and his total lack of football skill was completely exposed.

He'll make a slow defense or a bad team look bad, but if he's up against a good team with semi-decent linebackers, he's toast.

Agreed. He is easily the most overrated player in the game. I'll go one step further; he's the most overrated player in all of sports.

The Saints look like a real NFL team this year..I'm definitely not that embarassed that the Pack lost by only a TD to the Saints. They could be the surprise team of the league this year.

Same here. I have never liked quarterbacks that relied on their legs to make plays. Don't get me wrong, I'm not saying that I don't like fast quarterbacks. What I am saying is that I prefer quarterbacks that can throw the ball first and will use their legs if necessary.

Please. Don't insult me. This is completely different from baseball. How many starting NFL quarterback's rely on their legs more than their arms this year? Michael Vick. Period. There's a reason for that. Is it a coincidence that the Eagles made the Super Bowl the same year in which McNabb had the most passing yards (by 500), highest quarterback rating (by 18 points) and least rushing yards (by 93) of his career? I think not.

There is a reason the option doesn't work in the NFL and it's the same reason why quarterbacks that rely on their legs aren't very successful in the NFL.
