TD Mizzou! What a drive, taking ~6:30 off the clock. 27-10 Mizzou, 1:46 left. Tigers will go to 3-0!

Yay defense.

It wasn't pretty, but you'll never complain about a win on the road.

Now if our offense plays that way against Ohio at home, we have some major problems.

Florida Gators win in Knoxville. What a game.
and FSU lost!

And I'm pissed.

If one of the Bowdens (preferably both) don't get fired this week, they won't be receiving any more donations - and this will be spelled out to the president of the university in tomorrow's letter.

Haha. The analyst for the Army/A&M game was really going off the line judge for throwing a flag for unsporsmen like conduct from the bench when, as he was running out to set tje ball, he was bumped by the Army coach trying to go down the sideline. According to that analyst, the official should be out of football altogether.

Well, that was ugly. There was not one player on the team that I am not angry with right now, except maybe for Travis Thomas. Quinn only threw 1 pick that was his fault, but he also fumbled one away, and short-armed a lot of receivers. Walker and the offensive line were a joke. The defense didn't play terrible, about as well as you can play when you give up 33 points (discounting the two turnover TDs by Mich), but I think a lot of credit goes to Henne - the last two of Manningham's three scores were just beautiful throws by Chad. The reffing was simply a joke in favor of Michigan most of the game besides a bogus late hit call (with Walker the beneficiary this time), but you can't complain too much about it when you lose by 26.

Michigan played as good a game as I've seen an opponent play against us in years. Kudos. ND responded by playing the worst I've seen out of them since the F$U game in 2003 - 5 turnovers?!?!

I guess 2008 is the year now.

In other news, Ball State lost to Purdue 38-28, but BSU scored the last 15, so it wasn't that close. Painter tore our defense apart. Very disappointing from the Cards after Purdue's joke showings in the first two games.

NDistops, The refereeing was not a joke. The only joke was the way they tried to get ND in the game in the fourth quarter.

I agree about Henne being pretty good today. He was awful against ND last year and probably cost them the game. Maningham has STUD written all over him. I thought he was pretty good last year but was the 3rd reciever behind Avant and Breaston.

I said this in the ND thread but I think that ND really is about as good as Michigan. Michigan played really good and ND was terrible. I think if they played 10 times it would be pretty close.

I was watching all 3 of the games today at the same time Auburn/LSU, Michigan/ND and OU/OU. I was surprised how often all 3 games were at commercial at the same time. So they create rules that shorten the actual game time. Worse of all several times the Auburn/LSU game was back from commercial and the refs still held up play for an extra 30 seconds or so. I also think this happened in the Michigan/ND game once. With all of this wasted time it makes the new time rule even more of a joke.

Damn, and I was hoping OSU would be the ones to expose and embarass ND again in the Fiesta Bowl. Oh well.

No more title aspirations for the Irish!
