That UO game was incredible. What a great and fun game. But if I heard the announcers (Tim Bryant who the heck is that?) rail on teh calls one more time I was going to go nuts. Sheesh, what happened to impartial PBP? Anywho, they jixed Oregon when they said Peterson was being held down. As soon as they said that he ran for 150 yards. On the last TD by Oklahoma, the whole line was grabbing and holding Oregon to create that huge hole. How come they didn't review that? How stupid is it that you can review penalities. Ugh.

 

Fun game though, glad to see Autzen stadium rocking. Glad to be an Alum. Go Ducks!

Brady Quinn looked just awful out there. Horrendous game. I was really confident about beating USC before this game, and now it looks like USC would put another '02 pasting on ND. Ugly, ugly, ugly.

As for Auburn/LSU, man what a tough defensive battle. WOW, two teams with incredible defenses. I am seriously suprised that Auburn won, they tried to blow the game so many times. I expected Russell to drive down the field and lead them to a comeback victory. The pansy preventive defense Auburn played on the last drive is just ridiculous. Thats like kissing your sister. BS. I hate that crap. Stay with your strength. Pitchers are taught not to get beat on their 2nd best pitch, well, Auburn almost did.

 

As for "THE" call. Lemme say I am thankful for it. Everyone knows LSU would have scored with a fresh 4 downs. Yes, the defender touched the player first. No argument there. However, maybe the ref thought that because the dude touched it there was no way he could have caught it. Not saying that is right, but that may have been his thoughts.

 

Regardless. A great ball game. Auburn still has Florida, Georgia, and Alabama left.

 

However, if USC wins and leapfrogs them, I am gonna be pissed. I hope that Auburn runs the table and USC is stuck at number 3 like Auburn was a few years ago.

Nebraska-USC has been given the HDTV until the game gets out of hand... Clemson-F$U and Tennessee-Florida get the other 2 TVs. Solid round of Sunday night games.

Wow. How often do you see big TD plays called back because of somewhat questionable penalties on consecutive plays...one for each team?

Wowow. Back-to-back TDs on back-to-back plays called back in the Florida-Tennessee game. First the punt return by Florida for an illegal block. Then a pick-6 by Tennesse called back for a roughing the passer penalty.

Geez. ASU still up only 14-3 in the 4th quarter. Colorado went for a 62-yard FG and missed (way short), but got a penalty. So he tries a 57-yard FG and misses it wide left (was long enough).

 

Tennessee up 10-7 at the half, USC up 14-3 at the half.
