Are they going to have redo all 10 of these kicks because of keepers coming off of the line.

 

Solo never once came off the line. The Brazilian every single kick.

10 vs. 11 + refs. Pretty amazing win.

 

No kidding. That red was BS, Marta had as much jersey in her hand as the defender did. The encroachment call on the PK save was awful and the no call on the off side on Brazil's 2nd goal was at least questionable.

 

Awesome to see them pull off the last second tie and PK win.

So...I just got home and lo and behold, DVR didn't record any of the game. Is there a rebroadcast planned for later today?

Yeah, there's no way that was a straight red and the encroachment on the PK save was really weak. She was half a step in the box and if they called that in men's games, it would take 10 minutes to take the PKs.

Portland & Seattle= best two fanbases and most hate between teams in the league.

 

Jeld-Wen is awesome...first time I'm seeing it not dark/drenched in rain.

Why do they keep saying the U.S. is down a player? What does that mean and how did it happen? I played soccer almost all my life but I've never heard of a team being down a player. This isn't hockey...

 

There's no way you could have played soccer your whole life but not know what a red card is.
