On the mf'in board. He's an animal.

I'm ready to see it. Review is saying from 30 yards out too. If he starts scoring from distances like that he is going to be an absolute beast this year.

Shocking West Ham and Millwall fans would go at it. Why wouldn't the London police be all over that before it resulted in a rumble?

I agree, it's not like the draw just came out. We've known this could happen for days now.

They are working on some chants for Jozy, here is one I found :-)

To the tune of You Are My Sunshine...

His name is Jozy,

He's from New Jersey,

He's only nineteen

But he's a goal machine

He was bought by Brownie

To play at the KC

Please dont take, our Jozy, away

I'm not sure if anyone listens to World Soccer Daily, but I download their podcasts from time to time. The show went off the air today because of threats against Steven Cohen's family for his comments about the Hillsborough disaster and the Liverpool supporters. I'm not crazy about Cohen, especially not his stupid comments about Hillsborough, but I'm pissed the show is gone. As we all know there's a gap in media coverage of soccer in America and I thought the show did a nice job of providing a perspective to an American audience. Apparently, he made the comments about 5 months ago and some American Liverpool supporters have been trying to get sponsors to drop and get Sirius to take them off the air. Something has happened within the last 2 days and Cohen decided to pull the plug on the show because of the threats. Very bizarre story.

I dont know all the circumstances, but it seems like he may be using the threats as an excuse. He had already been replaced on FSC by Wynalda, and he had already lost a lot of sponsors. To the point that he was trying to get funds from some of his listeners. If I had to guess I would say he could not find any sponsors and had no more money and that is why his show is going off the air.

I listen pretty much every day and I think reggie's got it. Unfortunately I really liked the show and there wasn't anything else like it out there in terms of a daily, good soccer show. This sucks. I downloaded today's podcast but haven't listened to it yet.

wolf, what soccer podcasts are you listening to now?

I'm looking for a replacement. i listen to the Major League Soccer Talk podcast if they're talking about the MNT, otherwise I don't bother.

I'm going to start my own soccer podcast. It's going to be me spouting my opinions whilst drinking. My daughter will occasionally scream "Who are ya!" and sing "We paid for your hats" and in the end we email MNT players and read the responses.

I'd listen.

Liège should be extatic: the big name + the short bus trip (with four Belgian internationals in their squad) + the fellow lunatic fan base

Group A & F are great. Pretty good group for Arsenal, the match vs. Alkmaar should be an intertaining one.

This is awesome of Bayern:

The Bavarian club are to give away more than 7,000 litres of beer before the game as part of a sponsorship deal with a Munich-based brewery. The same deal also saw the players and coach Louis van Gaal dress up in traditional Bavarian costume, including lederhosen, for a photo shoot this week.

I can't see this ending well.

Considering their stadium seats 83k or something like that, this really isn't very much beer.
