Won't have an update on Altidore until this evening, I am told. Team had to travel, then get Altidore into the med center for imaging.

 

UMFan deleted his post but my twitter says there is no news on Altidore yet.

 

My watchESPN feed froze with the ticker saying "Altidore (hamstring) will play Sunday vs. Portugal"

 

After checking twitter, the first thing i saw was "rumor has it Altidore will play sunday". I jumped the gun and posted it, then saw that the ticker said something about "Klinsman optimistic that Altidore (hamstring) will play Sunday vs. Portugal".

I thought our team played a dreadful first half, but did a very good job at patiently breaking down the Algerian defensive wall in the second.

 

They'll need to play better in the next games though - I doubt Wilmots starts the same eleven as today.

I was worried about Jozy being ready for a potential Round of 16 game, so if there's any chance he plays again in the group stage that's gravy as far as I'm concerned.

World Cup Tonight is largely terrible. Barely any highlights at all and just a bunch of people talking. Show some [expletive] highlights.

 

They showed three highlights of Belgium-Algeria, which were all three goals. That's it. Same thing for Russia-South Korea. Three highlights, two of which were goals. They've done this on other days also. It's a 90 minute program. Spend 5-10 minutes on each match (depending on how exciting it is) and that still leaves a solid hour to talk about random stuff.
