Berkman was so pissed about that strike 2 call he forgot to pretend that he was hit by it.

On to the 17th!

Lame shirt HBP.

Didn't Theriot get on with a sleeve-assault?

I believe he was hit squarely in the back.

The hell he was.

I laughed way too hard at that.

I'm tired and confused...damn youse all!

Wow...so I just got back home, and this game is still going. Has anyone mentioned placing Dempster in the rotation next year after watching this game? We could move Howry or Eyre or someone else into the closer's role.

I remember going to a game in the early 90's that went into the 14th inning, and Harry went out between half innings and sang the 7th inning stretch again. We needed something like that three innings ago.

This is the longest game thread since the 6/2 extra-inning affair in St. Louis. That was 70 pages (premium) though.

I watched Dempster start enough games last year to not want him in the rotation.

Turn around

Look at what you see

In her face

The mirror of your dream

Make believe I'm everywhere

I'm hidden in the lines

And written on the pages

Is the answer to a neverending story

Reach the stars

Fly a fantasy

Dream a dream

And what you see will be

Rhymes that keep their secrets

Will unfold behind the clouds

And there upon the rainbow

Is the answer to a neverending story, story

Show no fear

For she may fade away

In your hands

The birth of a new day

Rhymes that keep their secrets

Will unfold behind the clouds

And there upon the rainbow

Is the answer to a neverending story

THE NEVERNDING STORRRRRRRREEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!

Man, I'm so freakin' lame.

I just got a forward of one of those "badger badger badger" flashes, and I just laughed at the idea of a Cubs inspired one.

At the 16 inning game in 2003, there was a second stretch in the middle of the 14th. I think it's a tradition, but we'll have to ask Len and Bob.

Harry always used to sing again in the 14th.

Spectacular idea.
