I like this. I think it's because people like me weren't buying the ones without names on the backs.

Or maybe people weren't buying them because the team sucks.

EDIT: I will admit that I too wasn't buying them without the names.

I like both the pinstriped home uniforms as well as the blue alternate uniforms. I also like having the names on the back. The grey uniforms shouldn't be used and I'm indifferent on the BP blue uniforms.

Thank god they're worrying about the important things.

Yeah I know, Jim Hendry should not be working on these things. If they are going to be doing stuff like this they should at least hire a PR/Marketing department.

Oh wait they have one :)

The Marketing dept. is the only part of this Org. that gets it right.

When it was first announced that the names would be taken off I was sad because Im young enough to where i had never seen a nameless cubs jearsy.

Now, however, I love them. And i'll be pretty upset if they put names back on.

sentimental ol' me prefers no names on home jerseys. I grew up with the kick-ass royal blue pullovers from the 82-89 era.

Also, I like the blue alternative jearsys alot.

I rank the current cub uni's as...

1. Pinstripe/Blue alt.

2. Blue Alt/Pinstripe

The grey uniforms look awful on the players, but I'll be damned if they don't fit into my own fashion ensembles better than the other jerseys.

First: After the past couple of yrs, the Cub players haven't earned the right for their names to be put back on the jersey. I like the nameless jersey, because you can't necessarily call one player out, you have to call out the whole team. Leave the names off the jersey. And take the pinstripes off.

Second: I absolutely love the blue jersey.

Really? I like the blue jersey too. I don't like the red bill on the away caps though.

You can't call out one player because his name isn't on the back? Do you think the announcers will be confused when the SS makes an error but can't tell if it's Zambrano, Izturis or Lee?

The blue jerseys suck. They don't fit right. Zambrano's always looks 3 sizes too big.

White/pinstripes at home, grey on the road.

And everyone should be required to wear high socks.

And someone please buy Ronny Cedeno a solid blue t-shirt to wear beneath his jersey!

I'm glad the league cracked down on Pierre's blue camouflage t-shirt. I just hated looking at it for some reason. Especially considering Pierre never bottoms the top botton and his jersy flap back exposing the T-shirt.

(1) Keep the names off.

(2) Find every last alternate jersey in existance and start the world's biggest polyester-fueled bonfire. The blues look ridiculous.

Sorry but some people like the alternatives. I think the pinstripes look ugly IMO. Plus Zambrano likes the dark blue shirts and he is awesome. Trust me Zambrano knows what he's talking about. Bow to the blue!

As I've said before, the league has actually secretly banned Z from using the pinstripes, because their awesomeness combined with his awesomeness is simply too unfair for any opposing team.

That's Zambrano's lone flaw — he makes the whole team wear beer league duds when he pitches.
