Correct me if I'm wrong, but I'm pretty sure that the Beatles were stoned throughout much of the filming of "Help" It's been a few years since I've seen it.

Absolutely. If rock music doesn't exist in 500 years, I think it'll be The Beatles that are most studied of any rock group. I mean, a good many Music Schools have courses on the musicology of The Beatles music.

 

Although, the Who will also be looked at no doubt because of the originality of "Tommy". But the Beatles did soooooooo much for the genre, and I think it's a shame that there are people here who don't consider them a Rock band.
