Marmol's night is done...Marmol has gotten himself into trouble, but he's also been able to get himself out of it. I really don't like this move, if Prior struggles tomorrow our bullpen is gonna be shot.

Not really. Novoa will likely pitch a couple of innings tonight.

Hey Fred, did you ever use my idea from last year about keeping records when the CUBS where different jerseys ?

Did you ever promise to watch every game for me and PM me what color jerseys they were wearing ??

can we get guzman or hill in the rotation, please?

Whomever can get the ball over the freaking plate with consistency gets my vote. Seven walks for Marmol tonite? Jesus. Does Rothschild give out give out backrubs for each BB or something?

Listen to Pat and Ron..... Pat always says what jerseys both teams wear.

Cubs don't get the "in the neighborhood" call.

On the replay, Cedeno's foot missed the bag by 8 inches...it wasn't even close.

If anything, it WAS close. It looked like his foot dragged the corner of the bag.

The last replay showed him drag his foot on the bag as he was throwing to 1st.

two were intentional, but the way he was going tonight, he may have walked those guys anyway.

i just don't see the sense in having two raw guys who have barely pitched at AA in the rotation when you've got a 26 year old hill and proclaimed savior in guzman in AAA.

WORST CALL IN THE HISTORY OF THE WORLD.

I'm not so sure. I don't think its clear even from the replay that Ronny got the bag with his foot.

that was ridiculous, I've seen players get calls MUCH farther off the bag.

Like all sports ,the top players and teams get the close calls.

The point is, players get the call lots of times even if their foot never gets within a 10 inch radius of the bag.

I'm watching on FSN SW so we got different replays I guess, the replays they showed had him throwing rather flat-footed and I never saw him drag his foot.

Maybe, but as a rule of thumb the close calls always go to the home team.

from rateitall.com:

The "neighborhood" play or the "phantom double play":

Umpires giving an out on a force play where the fielder is just close to the bag, not actually touching it.
