Hopefully Williamson can string together a few nice outings here right before the all-stary break and boost his stock. It'd be nice to actually get something in return for someone we got for next to nothing.

Prediction: Cubs hit 2 GS's in the top of the 9th and Dempster blows the game by giving up one of his own in the bottom half.

Wild prediction; even if the Cubs regain the lead, Dempster won't be coming in. Howry has pitched more here recently and he needs to be abused a little bit.

Enjoying yourself yet Fred? It's gotten awfully quiet in the Game Thread today.

Losing tends to do that, especially when we had several chances early on and did nothing with them.

Something is wrong tonight, the Cubs are actually taking pitches and getting walks. Some things never change though I guess because they're still losing by 5 runs.

4BB's in one game though is extremely rare for a Cubs team; I bet that's close to a single game high for the year.

There were a decent number of posts at the beginning because Marmol was pitching, but I see your point.

True, and it was also a 4-2 at that point as well....the posting dropped significantly as the deficit increased.
