what a joke. let boys be boys and play the game rough. Attacking the integrity of the game by spitting on an umpire should call for a much greater suspension than just a fight.

Agreed. If someone of your sex makes you really mad, sometimes you snap and punch them in the face. If everybody who ever did that went to jail, there would be far less free people.

Barrett couldn't start last Friday because the appeal hearing ran so long, but on top of that, he's been battling back problems which prevented him from even playing on Friday (and Saturday and Sunday). When a guy needs a day or two off at least, you drop the appeal and just start serving the suspension. They obviously didn't have a huge problem with letting Nevin be the backup, so what the heck were they waiting for?

By announcing that they have put Barrett on the 15 Day DL. I mean he had miss three games due to his back. The could retroactive it the day he missed his first game. That way...all Barrett would miss, in theory, is 5 games. But I know somehow that is no allowed, but hey.... :twisted: just to miss with baseball, and to see Kenny Williams get crazy again, would be well worth it.

Ok, I know there's hot girls everywhere, but Mississippi seems to have a higher ratio of hottieness than the rest of the country.

It's more in North Mississippi than South. Probably about 5 hours from the Gulf. Ya, our women are pretty cute in this state...at least the ones with all their teeth and a daddy who will spend money on them :-). I know the two girls on the far right pretty well. The blonde's name is Lindsey and the brunette is Lora. I tried to date the Lora girl for a while, but she ended up some douche-bag, of course. Anyways, one of the girls was getting them to all try these back stretches on the floor. Here's another one from that time:

Wouldn't work. Games spent on the DL don't count toward the suspension. He'd have to serve the 10 game suspension immediately after coming off the DL. That happened recently with Eric Gagne.
