Should be interesting to see how Mexico handles Angola's defense.

I'm really hoping the Ivory Coast advances into the Round of 16. They're a surprisingly talented team that unfortunately got stuck in a bad group.

Man, Argentina scored a sick goal against Serbia & Montenegro. Then they should've had another one but the linesman blew an offsides call... and the player got a yellow card for protesting. Give the linesman a yellow card for bad eyesight.

Damnit, I'll probably have to miss the entire first half tomorrow. Does anyone know if the game will be on ESPN radio?

Probably not. Maybe there will be a replay on ESPN2 or something.

I'm going to have to watchi t TiVo'd again, if it's any consolation.

EDIT:

XM have exclusivity for radio, I think.

argentina are scary good.

If anyone can beat Brazil its their hated Argentinians. Any chance we see Andres Nocioni at any of the games

If there was ever a charity soccer game amongst Chicago atheletes, I'd die to see Noc and Z on opposite teams. That would be the most intense matchup ever.

6-0 is very impressive.

Ivory Coast gets one back on an excellent goal.

That was a horrible call on the Drogba yellow card. He didn't really have anywhere to go.

The group of death claims its second victim. Now let's see if Mexico will respond to the inspirational Marquez, or Angola will do it via the overhead kicking expertise of Akwa.

I really can't stand the dives these guys take.

I can't stand that, and I also can't stand when a guy gets fouled and then acts like his leg is about to fall off... then gets up and is sprinting 30 seconds later. They need to do something about that, like give a yellow card to guys who flop or play hurt, or at least award the ball the other way.

Angola earned that point. Their keeper played out of his mind.

Probably earned himself a job with a club team after the WC is finished.

They said he'd been without one for three years!

Someone remind me, what are the tiebreakers after goal differential? Is it goals for or goals against?

Goals for, normally. I'm just trying to confirm that.

Tiebreaking criteria

If teams are even on points at the end of group play, the tied teams will be ranked as follows:

1. Goal difference in all group matches.

2. Greatest number of goals scored in all group matches.

(This was for qualifying, but its safe to assume it carries through)

head to head comes before those 2
