Maybe their plane crashes on the way to the next series and they're awarded the WS victory out of sympathy.

And no, I'm not wishing for this to happen. I just see it is more likely then them actually winning it. A LOT more likely.

I'm in a meeting and come back to this? The game ain't supposed to start until I'm ready.

What did I miss?

Don't feel alone. The Cub hitters obviosly weren't ready either.

Yeah, finally a Budweiser commercial...what took so long ?

I was gonna say, amidst all of this crappy baseball, George Clooney poses an interesting question:

What is drinkability?

with the type of baseball we play pretty much anything

Anyone else still in love with Womack? He's now 3 for his last 19 since his deceptive start.

He's been hitting the ball hard dude, he just hasn't found any holes. His hits will come.

That should have been an error, but I'm happy the no-no is gone.

I'm not happy. These pathetic slugs need to be shamed into changing their approach. Nothing good can happen from breaking up a shut out in the 9th or escaping a no-hitter against a minor leaguer.

Why does it matter? Even if they got litterally embarrased by a no hitter dusty would just say "gotta tip your cap dude" and his attitude would rub off onto the players as "just something that happens sometimes". This approach and the "tipping of caps" will not end until dustworthless is gone!!

Then maybe the embarrasment will force management to make a change.

If we lose another 10 in a row. Maybe. But we'd have to litterally dig ourselves a grave before that happened.

I didn't say it was definitely going to happen. But I'd rather these fools be no-hit, and exposed to the clueless people who don't yet understand the problems, than scratch out some undeserved hits to make it look like things aren't as bad as they truly are.

Yep I understand. And I'm saying it doesn't matter. This is the official king of excuses club we are talking about.

If this game ends with the Cubs getting only 1 hit, would the official scorer be pressured to review that hit and score it an error?

I would think so. Especially because it was a poor call.

Will not be a factor people, Barrett will get things started.

Cubs win 5-1 IMO

I know it is a long way away, but... isn't it kind of funny how the bad call almost works in his Sampson's favor, now? Now he basically gets to pitch a no-hitter without the pressure.

Very little doubt in my mind that this call will be overturned...
