Treeman is still MIA so I'm taking his spot.

Hopefully the Cubs can take this series and head to Cincinnati on a high note.

Also, since the game is on ESPN, there is a possibility that Steve Stone is announcing. Cross your fingers on that one.

Sean Marshall is 3-3 with a 4.80 ERA this year.

Chris Sampson is 0-0 with a 5.06 ERA this year and will be making the first start of his career.

EDIT: I am 0-0 career on game thread starts and, like the Cubs this year, I hope to start off with a win.

It should be Stone, Steve Phillips and Gary Thorne. That is usually the Tuesday afternoon game team.

Good job starting the thread. I think I should probably get this game on HD since it's ESPN (HD games are few and far between for me on DirectTV).

Chris Sampson's career is one of those feel good stories in baseball. A la the "Rookie"..... he was a community college pitching coach and upon the encouragement on of his players eventually decided to give it another go.

Heard him on the radio a few days ago and sounds like a very likable and genuine person. I wish him all the success possible after today.

He was called up to work out of the pen, but today (due to Oswalt's injury) he gets his first start against the Cubs.

Wonder how the story will end?!?

Go, Cubs, go

Go, Cubs, go

Hey, Chicago, what do you say

The Cubs are gonna win today.

That one might be my favorite Cubs jingle.

I go through stretches where it gets stuck in my head for days. I can't figure out if it's annoying or not. It's been happening since 1984.

It's my ring tone. I miss a lot of calls, if it's game day because I'm singing along.

I did a google search trying to find it but no luck. I would like to know what site you can download it from too.

I've never felt so popular in my life.

I found it on 3Gupload a couple of years ago, but a quick browse and I can't find it.

I was thinking about getting a new phone, but not if I can't get that ring tone.

Did anyone catch a glimpse of the Cardinal lineup last night? It looked positively Dusty inspired!!! I believe even Rich Hill may have managed to pitch a scoreless inning vs. that lineup. I'm not taking joy in Pujols' injury but, it sure is refreshing to see the Cards experiencing some Cub like luck.
