You know, having Zambrano followed by Woody...it just feels great. There's another great hitting pitcher.

I personally would like to apologize to Zambrano for breaking up his no-no. I was at home watching the game, doing everything in my power just to concentrate on what I was watching.

In the eighth inning, right after he walked Lamb, I picked up a magazine because I needed something to distract me. It was at this point that Preston got a base hit.

Carlos, it was all me. My bad.

Could this be just one of those games where all we'll here on talk shows is "This is the game that will boost the Cubs onto consistent winning... And if it doesnt, what will?"

And really, what will? I dont mean to be a pessimist... But I dont want to see the offense hiding tomorrow after an 8-0 game today.

That's what I'm going to be looking for as well. No let downs please.

I just ordered Z's jersey. I hope that doesn't curse him or anything. Like happened after I got Woody's jersey.

It was clearly my fault. I was on my way to a party, and my Sox-fan-friend burst in, and his evil Sox-Jinx-Powers ruined the whole thing.

Literally the second he came through the door, the base hit occurred. LAME.

Carlos Zambrano and Andres Nocioni are easily my 2 favorite athletes....EVER.

My friends and I were discussing what sort of reaction Z would have had if he completed the no hitter. Some of the ideas we came up with:

- Z would point to the sky and calmly walk off the mound

- Z would point to the sky and start dancing around in circles like he was doing a spanish 'ole' dance

- Z would clench his fist in victory with a really intense look on his face saying swear words in Spanish for about 5 minutes (most likely scenario)

Any ideas?

I think he'd eat one of the rookies in celebration.

Maybe Carlos will celebrate by flying down to St. Louis, breaking into Edmonds' room, and giving him a nice 5 minute whoopin........ending it by putting more mascara on him.
