I never hope a player gets hurt, however....

I read too many posts/articles/conversations after the DLee/Wood/Prior injuries with fans happy he was out for a while. Too many Card fans were happy since Pujols was a lock for the batting title and MVP.

Here's hoping Edmonds destroys his back and Pujols languishes on the DL for the rest of the year.

I hope for an injury to Barry Bonds every day and have been for years. Although this year I don't really need a serious injury because any little injury could end his career.

Balco Barry is 0-2 today and is being warmly greeted by Metropolitan fans today, with syringes and Junk Bonds signs

After not being able to watch on Friday and Saturday, I actually get to watch this game which means the Cubs are going to lose. I'll apologize in advance.

September 5-7, 2005, which was the last time the Cardinals were swept in a three game series at home.

The Cubs won this series, but lost game 1, 6-4.

Damn, I guess that's what I get for relying on "The Chicago Cubs Media Relations Office" which I was quoting from today's press notes.

I'd rather have Nevin starting at 1B and Walker at 2B even though they are facing a RHP. Why trade for a guy and then sit him on the bench?

Cards announcers: "And Bennett goes out to talk to Marquis, probably saw something he didn't like"

Gee might that have been 6 straight balls that weren't even close?

Because he can't hit RHP. Of course, when the alternative is Womack....

On another note, Pierre's still holding strong at a .588 OPS.

Wow. Bob Brenly is a genius. "It's no coincidence that the Cubs have put together better at bats when they take pitches and give the pitcher more opportunities to make a mistake."

Hear that Dusty?
