Rivera hurt himself tying his shoe. That is strong, strong work.

 

Too bad they dont have any semblance of a farm system, or we could really help them out.

 

With Sheff expected on the DL for a long time and Matsui already done for the year, it is time to select a new team to root for in the AL East. So....

But joking aside...they still have ARod/Jeter/Giambi/Posada/Cano/Damon so they still have a decent offense. So, I wouldn't dig the Yanks grave. JUST YET.

They can still do it I'm guessing. As long as AJ is still on the DL and the Sox didn't build up a lead....I think its anyone's division.

It's close though.

 

The surgery will be performed on Tuesday by Dr. Charles Malone and will sideline Sheffield until at least September.

 

Definately doesn't sound good for Yankee fans, but sounds great for the rest of us.

iirc matsui's been out for a while and they haven't pulled off a big deal yet.

 

if st. louis or ny pull off a huge deal in the next few weeks, then hendry should be ripped for his ability to bring in a hitter.
