So Womack comes in and goes 8-16 in his first four games as a Cub and he gets benched in favor of a guy who has a lower OPS than Womack does a batting average. Unreal. I freaking hate Dusty Baker.

Haha. Perez right back in the 2-hole. Dusty is insane.

Baker is among the winningest managers in the majors since 1993, and is a three-time winner of the Manager of the Year award.

Keanu Reeves has been in several successful moveis and has won a handful of awards, but he's still a horrible actor.

My point is i trust Baker to make the right lineups day in day out. I also trust Dusty because he almost became the first manager in baseball history to bring 2 different teams to a world series in consecutive years.

I'd rather Perez got his playing time in Cubs blowout wins, and NOT batting second on the order.

That's just [expletive].

Having said that, get some runs you bums.

Isn't there a warning label on your Cubs Kool-Aid? ;)

Almost only counts in horseshoes and hand grenades.

Having Patterson and Perez bat 1-2 in front of a guy having the season any player could dream of last year made a lot of sense. But of course, he can make "the right lineups."

Bruce,

Thanks for the lineup. Do you know if Nevin is in town yet or will be available at all tonite?

We're going to talk with him on a conference call in a minute, so I don't think he'll be here. He'll probably join the club in St. Louis.

Who would you bat 1 and 2 last year

Walker definitely and maybe even Barrett. Some people last year were even clamoring for having Lee lead off last year with the lack of success with Patterson and Perez in the lineup.

walker or whoever was at 2nd base, for one. walker-patterson-lee is better than patterson-perez-lee. barrett would have been great batting 2nd, too.

Reds announcers confirm Nevin won't be in Chicago tonight.

I'd agree with you.... but, Perez batting second doesnt really make sense... but, hopefully it'll work out. :?

I hope Perez gos 0-6 with 5 K's and a bunt fly out, but the Cubs still win 6-2.
