continue to play Neifi and Bynum. Please continue to use Gopher Ball Glendon as the spot starter. All you are doing is sealing your own fate.

No hes not. Nothing is ever his fault. Unless something goes right, then its because of him. If we had anyone in the organization with balls who cared about winning they would of at least tried to make changes.

Okay, I've beaten the" Jim Hendry doesn't know how to create a good bench yet has no problem overpaying one" horse to death. I've also beaten the Neifi stinks horse, as well. So, to be original, I'm going to blame someone else -- Jerry Hairston. How is it that he can't be superior to Neifi Perez? If he were, he'd be playing more 2nd base. Okay, I lied about the Hendry thing, how can he justify having Neifi, Hairston and Bynum on the same team? If Hendry hadn't have offered Perez a contract, I bet Perez would be playing for the Royals or Pirates and making $600,000 on a one-year contract.

Who are you kidding? Neifi couldn't make the Royals or Pirates.

Should I feel bad that I have never heard of this Bynum kid before this year? I mean, I am fairly abreast of what is happening in ML baseball. I keep up with whos doing what, and who is playing for who. Hell, I even play fantasy baseball - but I have never heard of this Bynum guy.

Amazing how the Cubs acquire this mysterious answer to our bench problems. Oh, sorry. He's a starter, isn't he?

Here's my lineup:

Neifi

Freddy

Jose Macias (we HAVE to resign him)

Womack

Mabry (can't forget him)

Blanco

'course, the rotation could sport Glendon, Rich Hill, Jerome Williams, and Angel Guzman.

And the other two position players would have to be non OBP players, who don't take walks, who are over the hill who SUCK, have always sucked, and WILL always suck.

I've had enough of this. At least I could divorce my ex wife to get rid of her. I can't get away from these guys, maybe an excorcism would work. Are there any priests on here?

Damn it! How could I forget? These players in our new lineup HAVE to lose flyballs in the sun, get picked off ANY base, BUNT in the ninth inning while BEHIND! And, ummmm, complain about the announcers in the booth...

And you guys don't think that Steve Stone and Bob Brenly could help this team. 'course, Saddam Hussein could coach a better team than this.

Had you ever heard of Angel Pagan prior to this year?

Neifi

Bynum

Theriot

Womack

Hairston

Pagan

Blanco

Pierre

Let's build a huge wet paper sack and put 'em all in there and give each of them a bat. The first one to hit their way out of the sack is spared their job.

bynum was a 2nd round pick by oakland in 2000. beane never misses.

Obvious sarcasm, so you admit that acquiring and playing Bynum is a horrible decision. Fool me once shame on you, fool me twice shame on me, fool me repeatedly in agony, shame on Hendry and Dusty.

Yes. And not for good reasons, either.

Actually, no. I don't read that as sarcasm. I read that as a subtle little slam on anyone who likes how Billy Beane does business. It's not sarcasm, it's trolling.

We've tried to tell CubfaninCA over and over again that the walk was invented long before Billy Beane was ever born and that Billy Beane did not invent OBP. But, it doesn't seem to sink in. That's okay. I only wish it would sink in with Hendry and Dusty.

Today was a perfect example of what a walk can do. Atlanta got 9 of them. The Cubs got one. The Cubs only walk was an intentional walk to get to the pitcher. Atlanta scored 3 runs off of walks. The walks didn't drive in the runs, but they were on base when someone else drove them in. The more runners you get on base, the chances increase of driving in a runner. The Cubs are dead last in OBP, and their dead last in runs scored. It's actually pretty elementary.

The Royals have scored more runs than the Cubs, and they've played 2 less games than the Cubs.

Hudson threw 70 pitches in 6 innings. Zambrano threw 120 in 6.2 innings. This particular line in the box score pretty much looks the same everyday.

Pointing out that bean doesn't bat 1000 with draft picks scrutinizes/challenges no one's beliefs.

hey bbb question..

why is oakland 5th in walks and 22nd in runs?

My guess is they probably aren't sac bunting enough, or aren't gritting their teeth hard enough.

They need more gritty gamer types.
