The Cubs are on pace to barely walk more than they did last year. Last year, the Cubs were one of the worst teams in the league at drawing walks.

The opponents have drawn almost twice as many walks at this point in the season. Cubs 115 walks. Opponents 211 walks.

Big deal right? Cubs batting averages to date: .244 Opponents: .243.

Granted, the SLG is definitely better for the opposing teams, but who do you think those doubles and HR's are driving in? GUYS WHO WALK!

"Hendry won't fire Dusty?" Good, fire Hendry too, because he's a bigger problem. And while your at it, fire yourself!

I see the Cub hitters walk back to the dugout all the time, sometimes 2 at a time.

Yeah, the CSN+ thing has to stop. What is CSN+, anyway?

comcast sports net ++ , i think i saw that last year

WCIU, ect BS

I see WGN and WCIU listed as carrying games, and CSN, and then there's CSN+ in addition, usually when there's another game on. So that's just CLTV?

I'm guessing the only reason they refer to it as CSN+ is because they may go to the game on CSN if their other programming is delayed (namely the White Sox are in a rain delay). That and that it's CSN's production and camera equipment.

There's something so wrong about the White Sox pre-empting the Cubs. Sox shouldn't even be on WGN. Put the Cubs on channel 9, leave the White Sox to 26 and CSN. If only.

There's a CSN alternate channel on DirecTV. It's channel 668, and I have watched the Cubs on this channel when there is a White Sox game on at the same time.

Talks about getting back to how they played in April.

Absolute bunk. April was the aberration, Andy boy. What you're seeing right now is the real team, not the other way around.

Heading into today's game the Cubs had scored 96 runs, but based on their component offensive stats that number should have been closer to 80. Why the big difference? Situational hitting. The team OPS with runners in scoring position is over 200 points higher than the team's overall OPS. If stats have taught us anything it's that situational hitting stats demonstrate little if any persistence. It's completely reasonable to assume that the team's situational hitting stats will regress back down to their overall averages, meaning that if this team continues to perform at it's current offensive rate it will score closer to 4.0 runs per game than 5.0 runs per game.

So you knew it back then just by looking at the numbers and applying a little logic.

You know more about baseball than MacPhail. Either that, or he knows but just won't say what he's really thinking.

Too Bad the Cubs won't hire you.

I just want this to be a non-family cite so I can lay out a diatribe that would make Elia shudder.

LOL! They are going off on the stupid BP excuses. Kap said, "If we play Chan Ho Park, do we need to find a South Korean to throw BP?"

Cards payroll is 78 million?!?

Wow. This I did not know. Someone explain to MacPhail the difference between passion and desire to win, and spending empty cash so you can claim you care.

I think Stoney said that first.
