Zambrano did decently, all things considered. It wasn't a quality start and he made some bonehead pitches, but compared to some of our other illustrious pitchers in this series, he did okay.

 

Given their pitiful performance today, the offense is much more to blame.

I have a random question and a hypothetical situation. A starter leaves a game with any one run lead - let's just say 4-3 - and two runners on base. Then the reliever comes in and allows the two inherited runners to score, but nobody else and the team loses 5-4. Who gets the loss, the starter or reliever?

I do believe the starter will get the loss and the relief pitcher will be charged with a blown save.
