unlike past years, losing to the Soxdoesn't bother me this season. They are in so many ways superior that it's nearly a foregone conclusion we'll lose.

I have little to no hope for this game. Rich Hill always seems to look uncomfortable and in a packed house , playing a team that looks like it's going back to the WS, I'm think Hill doesn't make it past the 3rd inning. Sox win this game 9-1.

I hope I'm wrong....

I agree with you. I normally would be upset, but it's expected. The Sox right now are worlds better then us in every way. It's a credit to their GM. He's really done everything right the past 2-3 years. Amazing job by Williams.

Here are the Cubs first three innings.

1st:

Neifi Perez pops out to second.

Neifi Perez strikes out.

Neifi Perez grounds out softly to shortstop.

2nd:

Neifi Perez strikes out.

Neifi Perez strikes out.

Neifi Perez pops out to catcher.

3rd:

Neifi Perez strikes out.

Neifi Perez strikes out.

Neifi Perez strikes out.

The whole team dies from food poisoning except for Neifi, so they have to clone him and have him play every position. Freddy Garcia pitches a perfect game in the White Sox infinity-0 win.

NO way he doesn't lay down a bunt in at least one of those ab's

I have no confidence whatsoever in Freddy at home. Cubs 5-2.

Ouch. He DOES have a 4.70 ERA at home and a 6.65 ERA in the daytime this season.

Here's the thing though...it's been the kiss of death this season to have the Cubs face a struggling pitcher. They get right back on track with our impatient, overly aggressive hitters...

Are game threads really for such pie-in-the-sky dreamers? Saying we'll lose, but score 5, 4, or 3 runs in the process? Tsk-tsk-tsk. Even those saying we'll get one run is a bit much, but we pulled off that miracle yesterday, so I guess anything is possible.

The lineup looks alright, in terms of what's available to us, so I would say it's not at all out of the realm of possibility for the Cubs to come up big and only lose by a score of 5 or 6 to 3.

Is there a way to get around the black out restriction on MLBTV? I can't watch due to "national live broadcast restrictions."
