He played in a little tournament called the WBC, which has olympic style testing. Wouldn't you know they do test for HGH but don't let the details get in your way...nice little fairy tale about the rival HS and stuff. I guess you don't need to back up your stories but you want to see a birth certificate...funny stuff.

WBC didn't test for HGH did it? the anti-doping something or other was very disappointed with the WBC drug testing.

I'm pretty sure they did. I thought they were required to use olympic testing since it was an international competition...I'll have to check on that and make sure I am not incorrect though. From everything I have heard the testing in the WBC was even more strict than the MLB.

Cubbie Rich seems upset about something.

I do not think cubbie rich exists...

We have not seen any proof to prove he is who he says...

I think it's great that Cards fans come to a Cubs forum for their baseball information. Way to go, Tim. Guess the party line POST-DISPATCH doesn't cover any real stories. Maybe they have a birth certificate you can use?

MLB has shown their avoidance of the truth in any kind of substance testing and Rob Manfred showed he was a stooge of Bud Selig at the House hearings last year. That was the one where Big Yak took the 5th all day. I'll believe WADA, the testing failed.

Carry on Cards fans.

in case you haven't noticed, cardinals fans are not the only ones defending pujols.

Why are we continuing to waste Tim's bandwith ripping Pujols? Our team is horrible and we still hate the Cards, and they hate us. Nuff said.

so wait...if pujols is older than he says he is, then all the cardinal victories in which he's played are wiped from the record books, right?

Another big sloppy wet kiss from espn.com:

PLEASE POST THE LINK

You would think he played for the Red Sox and Peter Gammons wrote the article.

who gives a crap about his age

The U.S. census

Well apparently he satisfied them enough to make him a citizen and also survive the post 9-11 age MLB age revelations.

It was sarcasm.

But that being said, I don't think he contacted(or "satisfied") the US Census Bureau to become a citizen. If he did then he went about it all wrong and he is not really a citizen. DEPORTATION!!!!!

this sudden burst of power.

Minor Leagues: 158 games-19 HR

2006 Season: 43 games-22 HR

I wonder if he would take a blood test for HGH for us?

Cubbie Rich, you are really reaching.

He has been hitting since he came up...none of this should be a surprise. Players are supposed to get better around the age 26 not 36...

Nice touch mentioning his minor league stats from 2000 and then his "power surge" in 2006 but not mentioning he HAS been one of the top HR hitters in the game the other years you skipped over...

Since you like to speculate so much how about a player playing average to slightly above average for 4-5 years and then having 1 huge season...(not my thoughts but this should fit in well with your guilty until proven innocent conspiracy theories.) It really is a shame that some people will question all players that have a good season. It is sad it got to this point.

In the latest article AP even mentioned he has been tested 3 times so far this season. The HGH thing is probably still a problem around baseball and they need to work that out, but you are clueless if you think the union would allow an individual to take some test on their own. With people like you out there why would a player take the risk of someone tampering with the results...

At least it is good to see most people on this board don't agree with your views and allegations either...I'm hoping you are just being an atagonist and that you don't really believe the crap you type.
