Ok. IF the plan was to do the squeeze, then ok. (ima squeeze fan)

You can't do a squeeze with 2 outs, so that can't have been the plan

 

There was only one out.

Because marshall got on. what are the odds of that?

No outs and Jones 2b. Hairston sacrifice with no outs. Makes 1st out and Jones at third with one out. Suicide in effect. Cedeno executes.

BOTTOM OF THE SECOND INNING

 

Jones doubled to the left field corner

Hairston sacrificed, 1-4, Jones to third

Cedeno bunted to the pitcher for a single, Jones scored

Marshall grounded an IF single to short, Cedeno to second

Pierre flied out to deep left field, Cedeno to third, Marshall holding first

Murton walked, Marshall to second

Walker singled to center field, Cedeno & Marshall scored, Murton to third

Barrett walked, Walker to second

Ramirez flied out to right field

 

3 runs, 4 hits, 0 errors, 3 men left on base

Somebody needs to tell ARam he needs to take a walk.

 

Day wasn't anywhere near the plate. Make him at least throw you a pitch.

Walks haven't been Aramis' problem this year. He's on a pretty good pace. But didn't he take a strike to make it a 1-1 count before hitting the 1-2 pitch to the wall? I don't know if the third pitch was in the zone, but it didn't really sound like he did anything wrong in that AB.
