is it too late to ask for Patterson, Mitre, Nolasco, and Pinto back?

What about Koronka? According to BP's VORP stats, he'd be the second most valuable pitcher on the Cubs staff at this point.

Why stick with the kids? Let's get Nomar back since we're going with do-overs.

Although they were "clubhouse cancers," I wouldn't have minded keeping Alou and Farnsworth.

Farns especially is a jerk, but Farns > Novoa.

I've always liked Farns.

Anyone think Pierre could get traded if we don't pull out of this? With Pie ready to come up, maybe they are just trying to get Pierre's value up a bit?

was thinkin that also, we really dont need him if he continues playing like corey patterson did when he was here

Man, about to be swept iin a season series against the Padres? I wonder when the last time the Cubs was swept in a season series?

Lets drift into fantasy land:

What would everyone's reaction be if they woke up tomorrow and the following moves were made:

-Dusty Baker fired

-Entire coaching staff including Rothschild and Clines fired

-Neifi Perez, Glendon Rusch, Freddie Bynum DFA'd

-Andy MacPhail publically put on notice

To be honest, I fully expect something to go down tomorrow, but I won't get my hopes up because I'm used to being let down by the team.

I would literally do the happy dance all though my house.

It'd be nice if we had a meaningful off day.

Pretty sure Len said it's never happened against an NL team.

Well we won't lose, so that's always meaningful

I still remember hearing about the trade on the radio and wondering if Hendry had lost his mind. Novoa hasn't been horrible, but we didn't get close to equal value.

If we could just get 10 runs hear, it would really turn around the season. I'm telling you.

the sad thing is we would still be this bad tomorrow

I think Pierre will be among a number of Cubs traded if we don't pull out. The only question is will Jim have the balls to start the firesale early enough to maximize value.
