The good news is that the Fathers won't score again

Eddie is prophetic.

At least he'll go .500 for the day

Maybe the scalpers won't buy so many tickets next year since I am guessing they are going to get hosed this year. if we stay on pace we will only win about 68 games

1 pitch 1 out.Can we end the inning in less than 8 pitches? Edited by Monco

There are tix on stub hub going for $9 in the uppers, bleachers are down to $48-55 range for upcomming games.

That's actually not unusual even when they're doing well. I went to 25 games last year and usually didn't pay face value.

Tickets for Cardinals and White Sox games will always sell at a premium, but it's pretty easy to go to other games for cheap.

having eddie in the booth was the highlight of the cubs season so far.

agreed.

I wish PJ was touring on their own. I can't afford the Joint bill with Tom Petty.

the whole tour isn't w/ tom petty. i can't remember who is opening in chicago, but it's not him. and since i've been a fan club member since the late 90's, i'm fittin' to have some great seats. :D

I should have clarified. I live up in Minneapolis now, and that's a joint bill.

I really wanted to go see em at Alpine again. They've played some great and memorable shows there - Ice Bowl, the show in 2003...

i was thinking about going to xcel, but it is pretty expensive. i'm kinda disappointed they're not doing a wider tour. last time they even came to council bluffs, iowa. des moines just got a new fancy arena, so i was hoping for a local show. i saw them four (?) times on their last tour.

Well if you come up, I'll buy you a beer before the show. That will be after I go to all 3 Twins-Cubs losses.

deal. my brother's going, but if he can't find anyone to take his other fan club seat, i may go.

It would have been nice to see someone go out and calm down Ryu after hitting Cameron, but hey, its not like its his major league debut or anything.

Dusty was busy hunting for the toothpick he threw earlier...

Lets drift into fantasy land:

What would everyone's reaction be if they woke up tomorrow and the following moves were made:

-Dusty Baker fired

-Entire coaching staff including Rothschild and Clines fired

-Neifi Perez, Glendon Rusch, Freddie Bynum DFA'd

-Andy MacPhail publically put on notice

To be honest, I fully expect something to go down tomorrow, but I won't get my hopes up because I'm used to being let down by the team.

OK. I just got done writhing on the floor in convulsions at the realization of how terrible this team is.

I'm much better now, thanks.

he'd have to overturn the spread for that to happen, and he doesn't do that.

Vedder could have calmed him down before he took the mound.

Holy crap, My Morning Jacket is opening for PJ in Chicago!!! You lucky bastard. Definitely go check em out. I'd send you a show, but it won't get to you in time. They are AWESOME.
