Not sure, Haeger has been dominant in AAA, and I guess they don't want to mess with McCarthy. I suppose they could be showcasing Haeger, but I'm not sure what for.

Not starting McCarthy? That's insane. That was the whole rational of not trading one of the starters preseason; because pitching is so injury prone. This is ridiculous.

Yea, it would seem natural to just bump McCarthy back into a starting role.
