The recap will have to wait until tomorrow. I'm going to go have a drink.

7 and 7 time!

Maybe straight 7.

I prefer absinthe.

Te-kill-ya for me tonight.

[expletive] RAMIREZ! WORSE CLEAN-UP MAN IN BASEBALL!

Glass half full, huh?

currently, who's worse?

howry and eyre have been really good. sorry for "celebrating" that.

If you are looking for a fight from me, you won't get one. I'm fine with Howry and Eyre. This team is bad with them. They'd be bad without them. It's your claim that we should all look at this optimistically. Then you proceed to be a hypocrite by screaming how horrible Aramis is.

At least I'm consistent. :D

for $11 mil he has been awful. considering half the budget's out this team isn't "bad." that's where the "glass half empty" statement comes from.

What's Ronnie saying?

He sounds like a broken man.

Somedays, I think he's going to die on the air.

On top of that, they showed Billy Williams in the stands in one of the Arizona games and he just looked disgusted.

So Pierre pretty much single-handedly lost that game for us.

Would Barrett have blocked the plate anyway? No, he would have stayed in front of home like he always does and tried a swipe tag to avoid contact.

:-s

I'm not knocking him, just the strategy. I think if the throw is close or gonna be late, you can easliy get the guy out by blocking plate like Scioscia to buy time. For some reason, Barrett refuses to do this.

barrett's plate blocking technique is about 592nd on the list of the cubs' problems right now.

True, haha. It would only take about 5 min. for a coach to permantly fix this problem though.

Yes, but I'm still thinking the Cubs won.

I once thought that too, but not so anymore. The Cubs aren't going to kill him in a blaze of frustration; no, it'll be a slow process - like a malignant cancer eating away at his insides. The Cubs are killing him slowly and by the time we notice it, it will be too late.

I was going to get some Old Style for the night, but I'm so disgusted with the Cubs I think it'll be something that doesn't remind me of how horrible we are.

Maybe some Bass.

I do like me some Bass.

716 middle infielders on the roster, and none of them know how to play (except for the one playing 1B, whom everyone thought was the worst). Thank you for the loss, JERRY HAIRSTON, JR. Pierre's arm had nothing to do with that. I can't think of a CF that would have thrown Greene out.
Corey Patterson

Jim Edmonds

Andruw Jones

To name a few

I can only take that as a joke. Review the play. Greene was rounding 3rd as Pierre got to the ball. Unless Corey, Jim, or Andruw had a potato shooter or bazooka, there's no way they would have gotten him.

lee's injury is a blessing to hendry haters.

take an mvp candidate out of any lineup not called the yankees and they're going to really struggle.

Is Hendry your dad?

We could do worse than Hendry. I hear Dan O'Brien is available. Maybe we could pick up Jim Bowden when he gets fired.

actually lee's injury is a blessing to hendry fans. they can use his injury as the excuse for why the cubs' offense is so bad, even though the offense sucked w/ lee. it distracts from the pierre and jones deals.

For what it is worth, Nomar just got the winning hit in the ninth to beat the Brewers.

too bad worrying about what other teams are doing is the last thing this team should worry about
