Don't watch -- you'll be better off in the end.

What he said. I stopped watching at the all star break last season. My last game to watch this season? Well I'll watch Maddux pitch one more time, and then....we'll see.

Look at it this way Is_pedro, if you watch Cubs games earlier in the day you would still lose sleep and probably have nightmares anyway, wouldn't you?

Find something else to do. Take up knitting for example. Then at least you would have a scarf for next winter.

I could try to say that I'm not going to watch them, but the truth is that I'm going to continue to watch them no matter what I say.

I admire your loyalty....however, I cannot stand to watch this team right now. 3 runs scored in the last four games??? pathetic. We better figure something out before we start playing better teams.

Right now Maddux (maybe Marshall) is the only reason to even turn the Cubs on.

This is a very average team.

Its like a drug isn't it. I could give up caffine, I could give up beer...I just can't give up the Cubs...(and sadly...they make me want for the other two...its a vicious cycle really)

Just wondering....how many lefties are the Cubs scheduled to face during this period?

We can always laugh hysterically as Jacque Jones weakly swings at every pitch offered to him in his attempts to improve on his .045 .051 .102 career line against them. We know he'll be in the lineup!

i don't mind the games on Friday and Saturday that start at 9. But yeah, the next week is going to be pretty bad on the amount of hours of sleep.

i'll watch...the Cubs are an addiction. No matter how bad they are, you just can't stop watching

I find one of the easiest things to do during a game is to turn the channel. But one of the hardest is to refuse the urge to turn back.

I had A's/Angels on another channel, but I kept coming back for more.

I can honestly say I'm not watching any of these games. It's gotten that bad where I'm not going to waste my time. I MAY watch Hill pitch for an inning or two but thats it.

It's not even how bad they are, its almost like they don't care. Its depressing watching this team!

I don't believe it has anything to do with caring. I just don't think they are capable of being any better. That's the depressing part.

Certain players, to me, look like they dont care. Maybe it is just lack of talent, but they almost seem unwilling to work the pitcher. They hack and hack and don't make adjustments.

New coaching staff next year plz.

Again, I don't think it's caring. That's the type of player they are, and the organization likes it that way.

I think we should start an offical NSBB Secondary Team if the Cubs really bomb, so the site doesn't get overwhelmed with negativity. A team that scores alot and is fun to watch, or somthing.

This probably won't go over well.

I just had my last final for the school year, so now I can be up really late at night and watch/listen to all the games.

Not sure if that makes me lucky or not.

Makes you like all of us up here in Chicago. The only relief I get is when the Bulls are on...and that wasn't much relief last night.

i find them an excellent thing to put me to sleep...once over the frustration it is easy to drop....and right now expectations are extremely low, so there is very little frustration!

The university I teach at has finals this week too. I give my last one tomorrow (actually today now) afternoon.
