<----Anxious and nervously wonders how the bull pen is going to shore up. We've had so many guys with career years, and it doesn't look like we'll get that this year.

BBTN can go on and on about the Card's trio of Pujols, Rolen and Edmonds but, the key to their success the past two seasons has been the bullpen. I don't think the retread trick is going to work this year with Flores, Rincon and Looper, its early, they'll probably improve but, its not going to be at the level of the last two seasons.

Best fans in baseball!

Lies. There was groaning after every ball, but there were no boos.

I watched the game and it certainly sounded like booing to me.

You think I didn't?

I heard them Boo LaRussa for taking Mulder out of the game, but i don't remember anything more than that.

Exactly. There were a lot of groans when he couldn't find the zone too.

LOL, I didn't say anything about you watching. I was merely giving my perspective and I still say it sounded like booing to me. It surprised me initially, but considering what transpired the last few days it was almost predictable as the lead decreased.

I watched the game on and off, and I know it's just one week but I'm not at all impressed with this Cardinals team. They'll definitely be up there in the Central, but I think the Cubs and Cards will battle back and forth all year long.

Also, the Brewers don't have the pitching IMO to battle all year long, even though many "experts" feel otherwise.

On a side note, Busch Stadium III is absolutely beautiful.

It's lonely at the top. :-D

Personally, if I was there I would have booed when he started walking guys again.

Really? A 3-way tie is lonely?

Well, the Cubs are precentage points ahead of all the others so technically they are all alone.

People at Cards Talk think Izzy was being booed too.

CardsTalk

Yeah, he got the fans rumbing a bit too, but nothing compared to when TLR took Mulder out to bring in Looper.

Izzy will be better. unfortunately for you card fans, yesterday's outing was about par for the course for Rincon (I watch a lot of A's games) and Looper is less than dominant.
