Haha. Man, during the game thread, I said "Wild Thing" Isringhausen" and when Barrett hit that grand slam, I immediately thought of Major League, where Rick Vaughn loaded the bases with his wildness, and gave up that grand slam.

I was even happier whan Jacque hit that home run because it was him that hit it. I still would have been happy if another player hit a home run but I don't think anyone else hitting one, with the exception of a pitcher doing it, would have made me happier.

What an awesome game. Stadium was rocking when Barrett ripped into that one. Got to see Rex Grossman a bunch of times too. He kept walking by right above us. He waved to the crowd everytime and stopped to yell "Go Cubbies" once. Awesome awesome game.

I swear, I had never been a Cubs playoff game until tonight. (think about it...) The feeling being in the bleachers when Barrett hit that HR was indescribable. I don't know if it was the cold, or if it was 6 months of pent up frustration, or because it was the Cards, but that was such an amazing game to be at.

BTW, where did you sit? I was in the bleachers in left-center.

This sweep is huge, what an amazing way to start off the year at home. I hope they can keep this momentum and beat up on the reds, pirates, and dodgers. I don't think 7-2 is out of the question for the next 3 series. Then head into St. Louis to punish the cards at home. If they can build on this and finish the month some 8 to 10 games over .500, there will be no looking back.

I was in section 218, and amazingly, it wasn't cold at all. We were covered from the wind, so that might have played a huge factor in it. But I thought it was perfect weather. Now those of you in the bleachers probably have a different story to tell...
