Why, why, WHY WAS NEIFI RUNNING!?!

Dusty frowns on walking.

I frown on taking bad risks. That's where Dusty and I differ.

Or one of the areas were we differ.

Haha. IBB to Jones.

Any stats on how many times a hitless player this late in the season got IBB'd? Make 'em pay, Michael.

It's especially stupid to run in front of Lee. Let him hit. Don't ask him to go the other way. Don't ask him to take a pitch so Neifi can steal. Don't risk Neifi getting thrown out.

Ron Santo has officially declared this AB a potential turning point of the game.

It's better to be a first guesser than a second guesser.

That's why he is the best color man in baseball. :^o

And on a 3-1 count he's going to take close pitches because he's not as afraid to go to 3-2. That ball could've been called a strike and Neifi probably would've been gunned out at second.

Sweet!

I like sitting here watching this game, but I'd almost rather miss the next inning on the drive to the weightroom where I can rip on the Cards fans that inhabit the place.

But Santo's white, isn't he?

I'm listening to the game on XM, and despite all the seemingly exciting plays, I haven't really heard any crowd noice. I hear the organ playing in the background, and can hear the occasional increase in crowd volume, but nothing like you'd expect on openind day. Is it just not translating through the radio?
