I've always wondered about this... Since I'm a fan of of the type of ballparks.

Please, tell your honest opinion. I'm going to put the ones I know that are unnoticed... So no Wrigley, Fenway, Yankee...

So which ballpark is never noticed? Whether its because of the location, the team, the over-shadowing of better parks, the fanbase... Or even if it just plain sucks...

Sorry if I left out any parks you guys wanted to pick... If you pick "Other" please post it.

Dont be mad if I put a ballpark you love... Yeah.

Oakland has the only ballpark I couldn't pick out of a lineup.

BOB has the pool.

KC has the waterfall, or whatever it is.

Jake has the high LF wall and concourse

Tropicana has ugly turf and a dome.

Florida has the double round pillars on each corner and the whole thing is teal inside.

Metrodome has trash bags.

I didn't even know it was called McAffee.

It's weird a virus-removing company bought the naming rights to the stadium.

I picked the BOB, now known as Chase Field, because I don't think it gets enough credit. It looks like a very fun place to watch a ball game.

I was able to see a game there in 2000- it was really cool inside (literally!). Great fans- total Cub lovers. Sosa hit a bomb off of Randy Johnson, but sadly, Daniel Garibay was the Cubs' starter....

What does unnoticed mean?

Are you asking which is overlooked when talking about great ballparks? Are you talking about which ballparks name is most unrecognizable, since most still think Arizona plays in the Bob, my guess is Chase Field is the most unrecognizable name, although McAfee fits the bill as well. Or are you talking about the park that when viewed on television, it's difficult to tell exactly which park it is without seeing the players on the field. I'd say Coors, Citizens Bank, US Cellular and RFK are some of the ones that are hard to distinguish when just glancing at pictures without much studying of the layout.

Yes, I mean ones that are overlooked... Not really unrecognizable names. Unnoticed as in, never really gets any attention...

Actually, Coors shouldnt really unnoticed since it's always talked about and compared to when the wind is blowing out at any other park. That park is very noticed IMO.

Citizen bank is new... and I think that's why it is pretty noticed.

US Cell and RFK... Not sure on those.

Coors, Citizens, US Cell and RFK were not listed as stadiums that were not given their due. They are stadiums that if you catch a glimpse of them on TV, you don't automatically know which park they are. Coors and CBP are the same thing. While both are talked about a lot, they aren't very distinguishing. RFK is a generic stadium, and US Cell is generic as well. When you catch a couple seconds of airtime of a game in Wrigley, Fenway, or Pac Bell, they stand out immediately. If you catch a yankee stadium game, it can be confused with US Cellular at first glance.

I was saying that depending on what you mean by unnoticed, I would have different answers. Overlooked, as in doesn't get any attention, would have to be Kaufman. Although Comerica is not talked about much either.

In the big market category, I'd say Dodger Stadium fits the bill. I never hear anybody talk about that place, other than the occasional discussion about pitcher's parks. I never hear people say they want to see a game there, and I never hear about it being either a great place, or bad place to catch a game. Prior to their recent success and renovation, Angel Stadium was the same way.

Well, Dodger stadium had the most attendence in the NL for 2005...

Yes, it has discussion about it being a pitcher's park... But it is a lot of attention compared to other parks on that list. I think it's a beautiful park... But of course, you're saying it from your point of view and what you hear & see...

I'd say PNC, since it's a beautiful park that no one goes to

Have you been there? I have been wanting to get there sometime and see a game. I hear it is amazing.

Also, did the Cigar Bar thing go through?

Yeah, Pirates arent the best team... But PNC still stands out as a great ballpark.

yes, i went last year. Tons of Cubs fans, great view, great food and amenities, comfortable seats (with an usher who wipes your seat down for you before you settle in). It's too bad their team sucks and the fans don't come.

If unnoticed means overlooked/underrated, I'll go with Kauffman. It's a beautiful park and a really great place to watch a ball game. It's only downside in my opinion is that it's kind of located in the middle of nowhere. That gives lots of space for parking, but there's no reason to hang around the ballpark after the game is over.

The most amazing thing about the K is that it was built in the same era as all those monstrous cookie-cutter combo stadiums. KC deserves a lot of credit for building a dedicated stadium that stood the test of time extremely well.

Unnoticed could mean overlooked/underrated, and if a park is over-looked, most fans don't have a mental image of it... Something that reminds them of it... Even if it's a view of the entire park, it's noticeable.

I have said this before... If it weren't for the ambience factor of Wrigley, PNC would be my favorite ballpark. Just a fantastic venue in every way.

Also, to anyone that goes to PNC, eat a Primanti Bros. sandwich. You won't be disappointed.

What if you hate cole slaw?

I'm not such a huge fan of cole slaw, but I like theirs.

It's a bummer Kaufman isn't on one of the coasts. Being in KC it gets almost zero press.

I would agree. Also I must point out that the Royals suckage can contribute to the fact that Kauffman doesn't get alot of credit.

I been to the "K" and it's deftinaly a beauty despite that it's age is showing. The "K" will go renovations since that sales tax passed not too long ago.

Here are some photos of the game between the Royals and the 'Stros in June 18 of last year. Yes, I know my crap camera date says otherwise, but it's wrong.
