He was down in the count 1-2...can't necessarily blame him for taking the protective swing.

 

You take protective swings on close pitches... not ones that are about to bounce off the plate...

 

I think it was a curve ball, it started out knee high. Gotta give Harang credit for a good pitch on that one.
