My streak's at four now, thanks to Lee's dinger. Tomorrow my streak continuing is tied to Rollins continuing his streak.

Uh, you can make picks a few days before...

 

I was stuck at 2 (And for some reason I now have 4 names...) with Brian Giles last night, but the game was PPD, but I am going with Drew and Aramis today... I don't know how I got more than one name....

 

 

now I realize, Aramis is my BTS: Home Run Edition pick...

 

I have 4 names well. I don't get it. I have Pujols tonight.

Uh, you can make picks a few days before...

 

I was stuck at 2 (And for some reason I now have 4 names...) with Brian Giles last night, but the game was PPD, but I am going with Drew and Aramis today... I don't know how I got more than one name....

Yeah. I made pics through Tuesday because I knew I would be gone, but thought I'd wake up in time to make today's pick and didn't.

 

Oh well, new streak starts tomorrow.

well, i'm at 3 now, since the game is nice enough not to include my moises alou pick a couple days ago due to the rainout. i thought it would start me back at 0.

I wonder if they are so charitable if you pick a starting position player and he, for whatever reason, doesn't play.

And Melvin Mora wasn't one of the 3 hits so I have to start anew with Furcal tomorrow.

I made my pick earlier this week before I knew Crosby was injured...does my streak end or because hes hurt/getting no ABs do I catch a break?

The mystery is solved - you get a reprieve. My friend picked Jermaine Dye for a game the other day and he did not play, but his streak held.

Read the rules, people:

 

All participants start at zero. Your streak is measured by the number of consecutive days the player(s) you select are credited with a hit during the 2006 MLB regular season.

 

If you select a player for any day who does not get a hit during the day for which you selected him, your streak ends and must start to build your streak again from zero.

 

If a player you select does not play during the day for which you selected him for any reason, your streak will NOT end. A hitting streak will also NOT end if all the selected player's plate appearances (one or more) result in a base on balls, hit batsman, defensive interference or a sacrifice bunt. A hitting streak will end if the player has a sacrifice fly and no hit.

 

Your streak will remain intact in the event of a cancelled or postponed game.

 

In the event that a player you select plays in a double-header, your streak will continue as long as the player gets at least one hit in either of the two games.

 

NOTE: Only hits officially scored as hits in 2006 MLB regular season games will be counted in MLB.com Beat the Streak.
