Marshall will throw his hat in the ring as the derby to start against the Pirates on 4/15 heats up.

The Brewers respond with Chris CRapuano.

According to broadcast schedules, neither WGN nor the Brewers affiliate is broadcasting the game.

Go Cubs!

Finally a good looking lineup, still mising Lee but other than that very close to what I expect to see opening day. I had hoped Lee would play today, any word on when we can expect to see him Bruce?

I love this kid. I think he has a bright future. Here's to a great start. =D>

Dusty appears to love him as well! In Bruce's article today Dusty had tons of love for Marshall. That isn't going to hurt his chances. But I have a feeling they'll want him developing for another year.

According to MLB.COM, there is a Brewers radio broadcast for this game.

I wouldn't be surprised if they're wrong again, though. According to the Brewers broadcast schedule, there isn't a radio broadcast today.

Ah, Chris Capuano, one of those sucky left handed pitchers who always (for the most part) looks like a NL Cy Young whenever he pitches the Cubs.

and usually at a time when we really need a win

So crappy he won 18 games last year while posting a sub-4.00 ERA on a .500 ballclub. I know win totals are not reflective of pure talent, but the bar is pretty high when an above average pitcher is considered crappy.

The Gameday audio link seems to be fubar. The cubs have to have the least spring training coverage relative to the size of their fan base in the league. I would love to see the Tribune company sell.

Go Sean Marshall :)!

Capuano is 27. Just finished his 1st full season. He's a pretty darn good pitcher. He's doesn't overwhelm, but there's plenty of room for him to improve on what was an above average season.

should be interesting to see how Jones does against the left hander, he's notoriously bad against left handed pitching. He's suprised me so far with how he has hit this spring, Im hoping his off-season work with Tony Gwyn really pays off. anyone have his strikeout to walks ratio this spring? Also wonder how he has done against left handers this spring.

I agree. He did win 18 games for a .500 team. Not bad at all. I'll take that any year.
