I assume most of you bought tickets to some of the Brewers games at Miller Park this year. What did you get?

I didn't buy any yet I was busy trying find opening day tickets.

Also, i'm not trying to start something but do Cubs fans, ones from Illinois in particular know what FIB means? I have always wondered if they knew what was being yelled at them at games in Milwaukee.

I'll live right on the border, I'm very well aware of it, I prefer "flatlander" though.

Neither bothers me though.

lol, as opposed to the high alpine environment of wisconsin . . .

I was just wondering cause I have some friends who bought FIBS t-shirts and thought it was pointless because I assumed no one outside of WI knew what it meant.

That's right, I have considered the alt. of Madison to be like Denver. I've been called a flatlander more than a FIB.

The only time they anger me is when I'm driving on 94, in general they are the worst drivers I've collectively seen. Plus, those cops love to hang out right over the border nailing Illinois drivers used to doing 85 in a 55, now forced to go to 70 in a 65.

Most have no concept of the left lane being the fast lane.

I agree some ppl around here can not drive and it pisses me off because I work for the AHL hockey team in Milwaukee so I am constantly on 94. But, god forbid you are forced to drive only 5 over the speed limit.

That's much slower than Illinois, Illinois is unique that way, where you can do 85 down 94 and not get pulled over, b/c you're keeping up with the flow of traffic.

Same in Cali.*

*When there's no traffic.

EDIT: What's a FIB?

EDIT: What's a FIB?

A FIB is a f***ing Illinois b******. That's about as much as I'm probably allowed to type on here without getting a warning. My girlfriend always got made fun of by her friends at home for dating a FIB. It doesn't bother me personally.

I go to UW-Madison...so yeah, it's pretty much a given I know what a FIB is. It's more fun to gang up on the Minnesota people, though.

What do a University of Minnesota student and UW-Madison student have in common?

Both got into the University of Minnesota.

Mwahahahahaha!

Where I grew up in Michigan (along the shore of Lake Michigan) we called them FIPs. There use to be a sign on I-94 at the Bridgman exit that said, "FIPs go home". In reality, I didn't mind people from Illinois coming for the summer as they added to the tax base and spent money.

FIP= Freaking (but not that word) Illinois People

Oh, thanks for clarifying that it was "people." I thought it might have been something else.

Wisky's are so jealous of their far superior neighbors to the south.

It is a great feeling.

Nice to know that the FIB's still have that inflated sense of self-importance.

We may have that, but at least we don't have relations with our cows.

Freaking? I've only heard the more vulgar replacement for Freaking.

Well, yes. I had to censor myself.
