Not even close. Kingman didn't have near Dunn's AWESOME plate discipline.

Are you being sarcastic?

No, I'm not.

OBP/walks are the best measure of plate discipline.

02 - 158g, 128bb

03 - 116, 74

04 - 161, 108

05 - 160, 114

Thanks for, um, supporting my argument... I really wasn't being sarcastic in the least.

I believed you. I'm just letting everyone else know the greatness that is Dunn's ability to get on base.

.248/.404/.615 61 homers 122 RBI is what he's on pace for!

I still LOL every time I think of Dunn. His miscues out there in LF really stands out alot.

so does a 1.305 ops

Just so Coach realizes the gravity of that, I will point out that the highest ops on the Cubs' active roster is Michael Barrett's .886, followed by Glendon Rusch, and Todd Walker respectively.

But yeah. The Cubs don't need Dunn. He strikes out too much and sucks in the field right?

Well no.

Actually he is an average defender (OMG I know you've seen some errors but it is possible that in games you don't see that he plays well) and gets on base 40% of the time. In case you were wondering, the Cubs active leader is Todd Walker who gets on 37% of the time.

I'd gladly give up your first born to have Adam Dunne on the Cubs.

 Adam Dunn is so awesome he breaks bats by swinging to hard or something. Did anybody see that clip?? His bat must have been cracked already or something, he swung and missed but his bat broke off completely right above his fists.

Adam Dunn was on Stephen A. Smith's show today. Smith, at his "barely above mentally handicapped" interview was fairly boring.

But i was captivated by Dunn, his goatee, and his double chin.

How does a man who bats sub .250 get on base 40% of the time?

Because he controls his strike zone. That and he either hits a homer, walks, or strikes out.

adam is hitting 230/376/563 despite a ridiculously low 232 babip to go with his stellar 21.2 ld%

mr dunn doesn't even need average luck to be better than all of the cubs combined!

*swoon*

He puts up a 900+ OPS without hitting above .250

I love this man.

Wow, that means with even luck that was a little below average he'd be hitting around .325/.460/.650/1.110

I would like to point out something the Cincy Broadcast crew brought up tonight. Dunn has the highest lifetime Slugging % of anyone to play in Wrigley since 1960. His slugging % in the Friendly Confines is around .720 after tonights game, and all of the other guys on the list were in the mid 6s.

Oh yeah, Cincy has one hell of an all around broadcast team. Marty Brenneman is top notch on the regular radio casts and local TV. George Grande and company are awesome on FoxOhio. Very impressive job tonight by them. Called it fairly and even found some humor in some of Narron's expressions. George Grande was the 4th ESPN original musketeer that left the network when he returned to the Midwest.

Their tv announcers are ok, but George Grande ALWAYS mixes up player's names. He does it at least 3 times a game, it's annoying. Plus, I don't like his voice.

Marty Brenneman is one of my favorites since getting XM and hearing other broadcasters. He is pretty funny and witty.

He certainly is better than Orel Hershcizerjasdlkjeawr (spelling)

I hate that guy.

Is Marty Thom's father?? If so someone should punch him in the face for naming his son tHom.

Yes, he is.

I miss Thommy boy.

IMO, that's exactly why we should trade for him.

PS. What do you change your name to if the Cardinals get him?
