Idea totally stolen from this website.

Accepting all kinds of nominations.

I love the excrement covered Cardinal Hats. Funny, funny stuff.

You need to edit the topic b/c I would vote all the above.

I voted the Jason Jennings game, simply because I was there, was looking forward to enjoying a nice time with my friends out in the bleachers, and was forced to get obnoxiously drunk in order to keep from killing myself.

Nomar. The minute I saw the highlight on Sportscenter of him falling down, I knew the season was over.

Honorable mention to all the games where some no-name rookie/crappy pitcher held the Cubs to 2 runs or less, which seemed to happen every week.

Yeah, hence my "Major League Debut" option. :?

Prior's injury for two reasons.

1) Up until that point, Prior had started eight games, and had quality starts in seven of them. He looked like the Prior of 2003.

2) It caused people to start unfairly labeling him 'injury-prone.'

Nomar. Just cause I was there. I got up to get a beer and when I got back, I learned that Nomar had to be carried off the field. Needless to say, I chugged the beer.

It was also truly frightening to watch.

I was there for that game.

God it was ugly to see. Even though we won the game, it was a really bad day.

He was already receiving that label by some. That injury just threw a barrel full of kerosene on that ridiculous fire.

I was at that game as well, I followed the ball and when it got to first, Nomar was not in sight, so I look back and saw him on the ground.

Nomar's. He was out for nearly the entire season. Prior still came back, and ended with an 11-7 record with an ERA under 4 after that.

Nomar's injury was worse in my opinion. I for one, blame Mia Hamm...

I said Nomar, because I think that affects the Cubs beyond 2005. If he weren't injured last year I think the Cubs would have re-signed him, and we could have had Nomar at short and Cedeno at second. That also may have kept the Cubs from re-signing Neifi.

For me it depends on how you would define worst. If you mean it as it pertains to the team and season, then I would probably go with Nomar. If your talking embarassing, I'd probably go with the Barrett rundown. FWIW, I went with the latter. After thinking about it though, failing to cover first 3 times is pretty terrible too.

You know what is really pathetic? 6 of the 8 options have to do with either bad fundamentals or just a piss-poor strategy, especially offensively.

The other 2? Both injuries, and one of those was just bad luck (The line drive)
