I wasn't commenting on anyone in particular. The one that jumps out is when Rocket had a 2-game winning streak, and the thread was spot started at like 10 mins past the deadline.

Personally, I think the deadline should be 12 hours before a day game start and 18 hours before a night game start.

That gives people until 1:00 AM on most days. Usually someone is around to spot start if needed then and if someone attended a game and went out for a drink or something, gives them time to get online and take care of business.

EDIT: Whenever you get a chance, update my record to 0-1 Serena. Not that I'm proud of the loss but I have to take it.

Done! I inserted you after ndistops, since that's where you spot-started.

I appreciate it when people spot-start the threads, especially since I've had a crazy work schedule over the past few months and usually am not around for the end of night games. The game thread forum has been around for a couple of years now, and we know how everyone's schedule changes a lot with vacations etc once summer really kicks off.

Maybe it's just me, but it seems that people are more antsy to spot start than usual. When someone has a winning streak going, it's important to respect the streak, even if it means the thread is a little late.

If we just lost, then jump at the spot start as it doesn't matter in that case.

It's important to note there wasn't a winning streak going on the date I was talking about spot starting. Like I said, not wanting to take any starts away from anybody. I just wanted to understand and respect the rules.

Fixed, nd. Thanks.

Uber is going to start Tuesday's game thread. No one else should be starting Tuesday's game thread before he has a chance to start it, PLEASE.

THANKS.

I am already on the list after Jazz and before Shavo. I don't lose my spot there do I, but I do get credit for the loss, yes?

That sounds good to me. Sometimes I don't get off work until 10 or 1030 out here Pacific time so that would give me time to get home and start the thread as well.

I didn't see you listed there. Your record is listed there now.

Just so the regulars know on any start I have, right now I work late at night, so I don't get off until after the deadline. It might come late, but I'll start every thread I'm scheduled for before the next morning.

By morning do you mean early morning when you come home?

I think the main point is that Uber will take care of his game thread starts, regardless of whether it's before or after midnight. http://www.northsidebaseball.com/PremiumForum/images/smiles/icon_thumleft.gif We can respect someone's schedule when he lets us know about it.

I was just making sure it wasn't morning like 9 a.m. in the moring "when he woke up". . Just wanted to make sure he did it BEFORE he went to sleep.

I'd like to try a game thread just to see if they win. I'm 0-0, so who knows. Let me know if/what game I can do. Thanks.

BHogg was the Opening Day starter, so we're almost at the end of the original list. You've been added as the last person (at the top of the list on page 1).

Sorry. I missed my start. Its been tough keeping up with the game threads recently, as I've not been scheduling the start of the games as 'must see' events.
