Time to put up or shut up.

It's Friday afternoon. The Bears have been anywhere from 2.5 to 3 point favorites for this game. Last I saw was Bears -3.

What are you taking?

I'm taking the Bears and giving the points.

Same.

I think I would give the points too. Basically, if the Bears win they'd likely cover the 2.5 point spread. I think the Bears being at home, the return of Mike Brown, and the Grossman factor will make Bears the victor in this one. Also I think the fact that Foster is knicked up and getting pain killing injetions could end up being a big factor. If Nick Goings ends up getting a lot of carries, I like the way that looks for us.

Bryan Johnson not expected to play, Terrence Metcalf is questionable.

I'm pretty sure thatboth are out and are going to be replaced by McKie and Garza respectively. Not much of a drop off, hopefully.

I think the return of Rex puts another TD on the board both ways as compared to the first dance. While he'll make more plays, I expect the Carolina D to get a TO out of him.

Bears 20

Panthers 10

Bears. I'll give double the points. 48 hours from now, I plan on being a very happy man.

If the line's at -2.5, that's showing a decent number of of people are piling on with Carolina, especially considering most home teams in the playoffs are almost automatic 3 point favorites.

Personally, I think the Bears keep it close in the first half, but break it open in the second half when Foster and Delhomme begin to tire.

I predict

Bears 20

Panthers 13

close game till the end....could go either way depending on who catches a lucky bounce IMO

I had a very vivid dream in which the Bears led 22-21 late, and Grossman threw a pick deep in Bear territory with 59 seconds left, and Carolina ended up winning 24-22.

Fortunately, that would never ever happen in real life. In that situation, we'd eiher be kneeling or running. :)

It was a strange dream. I think it also had a part where Orton came in with 9 seconds left and hit Berrian for like a 70 yard TD, but I am not sure.

Carolina 16 - Bears 10

Gut feeling that the Bears are still not able to stop Smith, and that the offensive line probably won't be as awful as they were in week 11. I also think the Carolina D is pretty much going to have Grossman and his 57.9 QB rating for lunch.

But I'll gladly come on here after the game and eat some crow if I am wrong.

Unfortunately I won't be able to be on here during the game (my computer's power cord was left at home when I came back to school) so here's to a great game, Bears fans! :)

Thanks to fellow NSBB member JMAJEW, I was just offered and accepted a ticket to the game. I don't know how I'll contain my excitement at work today!!

As do I...

According to ChicagoBears.com, Metcalf is out and Garza will start in his place. In addition, Azumah is now questionable, but is expected to play.

Look like it'll be around 42 with a wind chill of 35 (10-20 mph winds out of the SE) and partly cloudy at kickoff.

24 Hours to Kickoff!

Go Redskins, I think the Bears and Panthers fans in this thread can agree on that at least.
