I always root for the Big Ten during bowl season and always root against Notre Dame.

That's Thom Brenneman. And he's horrible with football.

 

That's probably the 8th time I've made that mistake. I should've figured he couldn't do an NFL game yesterday then the Cotton bowl today.

Iowa kicked a beautiful onsides kick but were flagged for offsides. Replays show no one was actually over the line when he kicked the ball. The color guy was having a coronary about it he was so pissed. "This play was too close and too important to throw that flag." I totally agree.

It's not just that call there had to be a least 6 important questionable calls in the game. No way Iowa wins that game the way it was offictiated.

Nearly every obviously bad call (including that "offsides") was made by that same side judge.

I'm an Illinois fan, so I natuarlly hate Iowa, but root for the Big Ten come bowl time and Iowa got robbed by the refs the hole game, and that onside play penatly was a joke.

I'm still so mad I could spit - I mean I could go on and on about how bad it was. Kirk Ferentz maintained his composure in the postgame interview on the radio - all he would say was "They were definitely consistent throughout the game."

Jeez, if you had asked me which Big Ten team would win by now, I'd have said definitely Michigan, Minnesota with about a 70% chance of winning, Iowa with a 50% chance, Northwestern with a 40% chance, and definitely not Wisconsin. Bowls are so unpredictable... ugh.

Have I been under a rock? Quinn's sister (who isn't cute by the way) is dating AJ Hawk? That's great.

 

I fear for Brady's health. I remember what John Lynch did to former Bears TE, John Allred (his brother in-law).

 

Ironically enough, the last time I remember hearing about a sister of a star athlete dating the star athlete of an opponent's team was when Chris Quinn of Notre Dame's sister was dating IU's Jared Jeffries.
