And therein lies the fun. Also, its a strange sound with which to end a word, and ultimately, that's important.

Chalk me down for 'Robes'

From the Q & A:

From mhuber92211:

What have been some of your nicknames throughout your career and what would be the one you wish you had that one of your teammates had?

"Big Red" being the most obvious one. "Human Rain Delay" with some of my antics between pitches. There are some great nicknames in baseball but I really don't think of wanting to steal a teammates nickname :)

I like "stepchild" for Muton

As in he will be treated as such if he doesn't come out of spring training hitting. and his is obviously red headed.

That nickname was someone elses.

Mr. Intangible?

"My game on paper really doesn't look good, but you appreciate it more if you see it on a daily basis. The things I do don't really show up in the box scores or the papers or things that people like to come see at a game."

"...or on your TV or on the radio or on the field."

how about Juan Year and Matty Bench (I think that was said, if so then well done)?

Pierre = Out-at-third-trying-to-stretch-a-double-into-a-triple.

I know its long and awkward, but I think you'll be surprised how it catches on. The announcers will be using it on a regular basis.

I think Juan's nickname already is "Wheels". I read that somewhere...Trib I think.

Yeah here it is.

"Juan has been full-steam-ahead since the first day he ever stepped on a baseball field," said White, Pierre's T-ball coach. "That game, he hit the ball, ran to first base so hard and so fast that I said to somebody, 'Man, look at the wheels on that kid.' And that kind of became his nickname through high school. Down here, we call him, 'Wheels.'"
